“One of my favorite spots in town! I have spent several summers in Eastford and Bucks has quickly become a favorite. The menu is massive, the nor'easters being s particular standout. Portion sizes are great for the price! They have a variety of seasonal options. Consider getting the mug--you get to keep it and order just about anything on the menu for free with your purchase! It's set in a nice farm and service is quick. Definitely a must see!”
“Great brewery to check out in Brookfield, Massachusetts. We loved the Pumpkin Carver. The flights come out on a wooden oak leaf, which was fun.Good function room, there was a party downstairs, while we were at another upstairs- plus some room at the bar. They had a live band playing, and it was very family and (I think) dog friendly.Thumbs up”

“The beef brisket was thick cut and the most tender I've ever had. The smoked flavor was present but didn't overpower the taste of the food. Even the potato salad had a pronounced smoky flavor component to its taste. The pork ribs were big and meaty with again a smoky flavor, but chewy in texture. The bbq beans were good, but not as sweet as I'm used to, which is likely more authentic. I've gotten accustomed to canned baked beans, I guess.Overall, it must be a must try if for nothing else than the brisket. I was certainly impressed, and I was raised in Texas.Dietary restrictions: Gluten free options were available”

“Rapscallion Pub is a great local pub serving wonderful brews and an interesting variety of pub foods. We stopped in for lunch and ordered the Mediterranean plate and a chicken pesto capris sandwich. Both were absolutely delightful. The chicken was cooked to perfection, the right amount of pesto and served on a delicious roll. The service was wonderful and the ambience was fantastic! We had the Honey Ale, NE IPA and the Irish Red Ale. All were very good and what a craft beer lover would expect. This is our second time here and we are not from the area. It has become our go to pub in Sturbridge! Thank you Rapscallion!”

“just got takeout - delicious as usual. On change that was awesome: instead of mixing sauces/etc on the food, you put everything in its own container. AWESOME. 6/5 - food, service. customer for life!”

“Hi Friends, Right in the heart of Stafford Springs is a terrific small coffee shop. A cozy breakfast/ lunch joint with a mix of a few standard tables, some coffee tables with comfortable chairs and a bar height rail along the rear windows They even located me seated in a corner rather than just scream my name from the counter. That's a nice personal touch! It's like they took all the good from Starbucks and washed away the evil Corporate slime, leaving a quaint, delightful small town shop Prices are fair, especially since they use as much local as they can I don't get to Stafford often, but I'll come back here next time I'm in town See y'all at the crossroads”

“While I may have a bias as a six year server at the Steaming Tender, I am truly blessed to be a part of our team. My fellow servers are genuinely friendly and eager to learn, each bringing their authentic personality and sense of professionalism to the table. Our bartenders mix and match with the best of them, whether you fancy one of our rotating local draft beers, a seasonally curated cocktail, or a classic mocktail for those lighter days, they'll prepare you a beverage that will hit the spot with finesse, know-how, and a great conversation. Our chefs are some of the hardest working people I know, consistently innovating and executing a complex array of well-crafted dishes. They can have a seemingly endless amount of orders coming into their kitchen and still put their hearts and souls into every diner's plate. And the best part is, our dishwashers work seamlessly behind the scenes, ensuring you needn't worry about a thing. Steaming Tender is fully family owned and operated and it shows. Our management values input, seeks new ways to expand and improve, and strive to create a positive work environment. Lastly, but certainly not least, the preservation of this historical landmark of Palmer keeps our rich American history alive. I truly believe H.H. Richardson and Frederick Law Olmsted would be proud. If you appreciate delicious food, delightful service, and a deep dive into local history I encourage you to choo-choo-choose the Steaming Tender.Vegetarian options: Seasonal salads, secret garden veggie burger, basil pomodoroDietary restrictions: Vegan options, gluten free options. Accommodating kitchen.Kid-friendliness: Kids will love watching the trains go by, the birthday song, and sitting in the shoe shine station. The patio in the summer time is always a wow moment as well. Be sure to check out the grounds filled with antique stagecoach, train memorabilia, and genuine 1915 Porter Locomotive.Wheelchair accessibility: Sloped area in the curbing next to the red dining car, beside handicap parking.”

“My husband and I visit the Apple Barn Cafe every time we are in the area, which we make a point to be. Wonderful family. . Very accommodating! The whole family, to include their cousins, add to the atmosphere with their great smiles and their desire to serve you the best food in the area. Suzanne knows how to cook, believe me. The hash is to die for! Really, I would have to mention almost everything on their menus because they are all favorites. We try and pick something different whenever we are there. We have never been disappointed. This Christmas season I need to revisit their holiday specials. Between the food, and the beautiful countryside of Brimfield, you will be glad you went. We will be back.”
“Absolutely a wonderful little gem, I live a hour away and let me be the 1st to say that I would absolutely drive a hour to satisfy my ice cream craving. This is the best Ice Cream Place”

“007's a little doughy for my liking. Same for egg rolls. Everything else was good. Got 2 dinners @ $12.50/EA and split. It was around 8pm so it was quiet. My friend used the Ladies room and she said it was kinda dirty. I usually get dinners ToGo. For about $26 I have enough for days. Love Chinese leftovers!”

“A great little place for breakfast or lunch! They are open until 1 every day except Sunday when they close at 12:30. The service is great! My order was out quickly considering how busy the restaurant was. There aren't a lot of tables, but there always seems to be one available when you go in. The burgers are fantastic, as well as their breakfasts. The prices are very reasonable as well. Check out the mug 'n' muffin, you will not be disappointed!”
