“Years ago, when I was a student in Boston, I met Osman in a Turkish restaurant. He was kind, hardworking, and always full of warmth. Seeing him now as the owner of this wonderful Turkish restaurant filled me with pride and gratitude. Osman’s hospitality, generosity, and genuine heart was into every detail of this place, from the warm welcome at the door to the last bite of dessert. And the food is absolutely phenomenal. Every dish has authentic flavors of Turkey, perfectly seasoned, beautifully presented, and made with love. “After driving to two places that were either closed or stopped making food, my bf and I went to this place we always passed in the area but never went to. Decided to give a chance. Got soup and two chicken pitas. So good and I mean so good. I’m particular on my chicken gyro and I rarely eat the whole thing. But this time I did. They’re not the size of your leg like some places do but it’s a reasonable portion. Leaves room to eat the delicious lemon chicken soup. I am totally getting it on my day off this week. And the service was pretty quick.“

“We live really close to daddy jones, and it’s become our go-to for dinner (and occasionally brunch!) now for the past three years. Their cocktails are always excellent & creative (and rotate seasonally). Their gyros are incredible, salads are so fresh, and we really love their lemon pepper wings and sweet potato fries. It’s a really cute date night spot, and the service is always fast and friendly. A bonus during the summer is the patio space in the back!“

“Such a classic diner! I love their French toast and steak fries in particular. My kids always happy with the pancakes and grilled cheese. I occasionally bring work colleagues and they always enjoy the atmosphere and non-rushed vibe. A few mentioned they weren’t fans of the omelet (1 was egg white, one was straight off menu), but scrambled eggs were a hit. Would love hash browns as menu addition instead of the breakfast potatoes (seems to be never eaten by guests), but otherwise perfection!
Prices are very reasonable, waitstaff is low key in a refreshing way (again, you don’t feel rushed, which is so nice these days), and seating is versatile and comfy

Parking: Free Parking lots to the side (both ends of street), and meter parking in front

Kid-friendliness: Weekdays are generally adults but wkds filled with families (in a good way), no pressure to quiet loud kids! My kids prefer silver dollar pancakes so they often opt for lunch items there at breakfast but works for us! Great neighborhood joint“

“I regret that I don’t have a picture of the food but the young woman that was working at the cash register told me how beautiful I was right when I walked in so that was awesome. She was very beautiful herself, so I really enjoyed my interaction with her. Overall though the staff was super friendly and I had called ahead for my food about 15 minutes before showing up and it was ready when I came to pick it up. The pizza did not last the moment I brought it in the house it was gone. The kids devoured this pizza. It was delicious! The perfect balance of saltine suite that you get from REAL Sicilian pizza so I loved it! The chicken tenders were huge, juicy and just melting apart. I just moved to this area about two years ago and I have still been driving into Mattapan or Dorchester to get food, but that will not happen going forward lol. This is my new spot so if you are in the Hyde Park , Milton and roslindale area, don’t cheat yourself!
