“I placed an order for a late Christmas celebration at my home the Monday after Christmas.

I called and spoke with Harry 4-5 days prior, and ordered a full pan of the Meat Lasagna, another of Chicken Broccoli Alfredo and lastly, a full sheet Cheese pizza.

Harry called early Monday morning to confirm the time for that afternoon.

I was very grateful for the plastic containers that were offered to us to carry the foil pans. Lord knows those things are flimsy by themselves, not to mention hot.

The food was the biggest hit of the night! Everything was AWESOME!!

“This is a new place . We were told by our server that had only been open a couple weeks. Man was it good. The menu has a ton of selections and there is something for everyone. I ah the clam chowdernwith a huge piece of cornbread. Chowder was full of clams and nice creamy. The cornbread was delicious and sweet. Almost cake like. My husband had the double patty burger and I had the French dip sandwich on the waitress's recommendation. Both were amazing. The burger was cooked perfectly and the bacon was cooked so well it was buttery. The French dip sandwich was huge and full of beef. The au jus for dipping was almost drinkable. Our waitress was very atentive and there were no delays in getting our drinks or food timely.I was highly recommend this place. They are off to a wonderful start. We were visiting from out of state but if we ever come back we would definitely visit here again.“

The server gave us a few pizza because THEY didn't like the way it came out. We didn't mind the pizza the way it looked but good on them for realizing their own quality. “The food was absolutely amazing. The owner couldn’t have been more helpful. The bartender was out sick and he jumped behind the bar. His wife is cooking in the kitchen and we also got to meet some of the extended family. Everybody was lovely. Stuffed Grape Leafs were amazing. The hummus was delicious. They take over 24 hours to make their chicken wings and it shows. And then three of us had kebab sandwiches, which were phenomenal. Everybody in my party enjoyed the Beirut beer, which we’ve never had before. We will definitely be back.“

The quality and freshness of their seafood is unmatched - they are known for their top-of-the catch, fresh fish and shell fish. We love their sushi but everything on the menu is delicious! “I like The Bog Tavern and meet friends there, often for lunch. Like today~for my birthday! I should have gone with my gut and ordered my usual fried chicken sandwich instead of the Lobster Roll, which was a ($38.00) Lunch Special. I was speechless when our server(amazing Jordan) brought it out. It was a mealy, measly serving of lobster meat on a limp roll, with no lettuce to hold it together. And it tasted bland. Bog: Summer is almost here~ you need do to a MUCH better job with the classic Cape Cod Lobster Roll ~or take it off the menu!“

“Stopped in for a bowl of Lobster Bisque. It was served in a bread bowl which was soooo perfect and the bisque was the best I have ever had…all in all the food and experience was to die for. The complimentary cookie was a great treat! Delicious.“

If you asked me 1.5 years ago, this would be an easy five stars. But having been here twice, I had two wildly different experiences. The first was perfect — the food was delectable, it was served efficiently, and the waitstaff was accommodating. However, the second time we visited most recently, the food was not near the same level of quality. Some of the dishes we loved previously had changed for worse (e.g., the fish and chips) and service was SLOW. We waited on our food for a very long time and spent hours more at dinner than we expected. Not sure what was going on, but the party I was with left not wanting to ever come back. I would give it another chance as our first experience was phenomenal, but the inconsistency did raise some concern.

I love the concept of this restaurant and the atmosphere is truly fantastic for people interested in the farm-to-table, garden style of the place — but I would need to visit again to determine whether this is truly worth the time and money, or if it was a one-time fluke.“
