“I ordered online at the new Wellesley location, not knowing that the restaurant was temporarily closed for the day. However, the staff opened up just to make my sandwich and were very friendly. “I don’t miss much about going vegan but I do miss diners. If you’re looking for classic diner style vegan foods Veggie galaxy hits the spot. Very cool diner vibes, complete with large cake display up front and neon lit signage in the window. They do serve eggs & cheese but everything on the menu can be made vegan if you ask. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a classic plant based greasy spoon experience.“

“Came for lunch on a Monday and had our choice of seating. We opted for a booth, but the rest of the space was bright and airy and seems to be suited for groups of most sizes.

I got the Blackberry Bumble mocktail and the Sweet Potato Chickpea sandwich. The drink was tasty, as was the food. It came with a huge side of curly fries, which I was too full to finish.

Service was friendly and quick, and the bathrooms were nice and clean. I wish I could give 4.7 stars though, because by the end of our meal, there were tiny little gnats flying around and crawling on the table. Otherwise a lovely meal!“

“No longer cash only! This tucked away eatery serves delicious curries and chicken cutlets. Feels like a legit Japan-style restaurant where you can get a comfortable, familiar meal, by yourself or with friends and family. Delicious sesame salad and miso soup! The red pickled radishes with the curry were best. Attentive service and dishes are served at just the right pace. Plus enough for two meals!“

“Jackson’s Kitchen has been a go to spot for us for years. I love that we can get a salmon dinner with rice pilaf and veggies or an awesome sub or burger. The diverse menu has something for everyone! Don’t miss out on the meatballs or fish tacos either. I end up getting a few dishes- too many good choices.“

“Finished playing basketball and want to have something healthy. Then went to Iris and ordered Cobb salad. It is good with chicken, bacon and salad, they also add avocado with it. Even though it looks like a fast food restaurant, but the food itself is definitely not fast food and worth a try. I will try other kind of food in the future.“

The wine selection is thoughtful without being overwhelming, and the staff were super friendly and helpful with recommendations. I had a glass of red they suggested and it was spot on. “I don’t know what spell they put on the rice and beans here but I blacked out mid-bite. The carne de res was juicy, flavorful, and dangerously good. This wasn’t lunch — this was a spiritual reset. I wiped the plate clean like it owed me money. Dominican comfort food done RIGHT. This is my second time here and I am for sure coming back.“
