This family-run restaurant has been “slinging hash” since 1958. Some of it still has that feel, but the owners have modernized over the years, so, instead of a tired diner, Mel’s is a comfortable restaurant with that old-time feel. The waitstaff is friendly, helpful, and accommodating. The food choices are diverse and interesting. Great food, nostalgic atmosphere, friendly service and good value. Comfort food at its best. Server recommended grilled muffin. What? Grilled cranberry muffin is great, excellent clam chowder. Generous portions, order wisely.
