Van Rensselaer's has been our favorite restaurant for many years. The food is fresh, varied, healthful and delicious. Diane & Peter always welcome their guests personally and with heartfelt warmth. The newsletters that they send out via email keep us all informed and are much appreciated. VR is also a good neighbor to Wellfleet and CapeCod by supporting many worthy causes in the area. We were treated to both breakfast and dinner at Van Rensselaers. Breakfast was phenomenal! An omelet that was fluffy and greens on the side was delicious and my husbands eggs Benedict looked and tasted perfect! Our dinner did not disappoint as we were warmly greeted by the owners and checked on several times. The server's attention was welcome. Scallops with New England lobster stuffing hit the right note! Best meal we have shared in a long time! We will be returning!

This place is great. The service, the people watching, cozy. It's so good we were there for the Wellfleet oyster fest, and every night when we were trying to pick where to eat, we picked here 3 nights in a row. The owner greets you out front and just makes you feel welcome.
