I love Cerritos! It is my go to for pastries. My mom and I were looking for a special desert for her 88th birthday. We were looking at the frozen cakes and she was deciding which mousse cake she wanted and we were discussing if it would be too big for our small celebration. One of the employees came out from behind the counter because he heard our conversation. He explained that the mousse cakes were frozen and should be eaten entirely once it was thawed and should not be refrozen...
We made a pitstop off of I-90 to grab some lunch at the Roundabout Restaurant and after that delicious stop- made our way over to Cerrato’s. The place has been around for almost 40 years - gorgeous pastries, cakes, and an array of Italian cookies, biscotti, macarons, and cannolis. The coffee was amazing- I ordered a latte- it was delicious! Creamy and light and flavorful! We filled box with cookies and cakes to take with us on our journey!
It's a nice spot for desserts. They're known for the cannolis, which were yummy. We got some fruit tarts (not my favorite) and some fruit cake, which was good. The person helping us was lovely.
