“Didn't realize when we looked it up that it was in the basement of an office building, so felt weird going there. I am glad we went, blueberry pancakes were really good, the blueberries were so juicy. The Western omelette, even though it was deli style ham, was also very good with lots of veggies. Home fries and toast are not included with the omelette price which is different than I'm used to but the omelette was the star anyway!“

“This place is awesome! They really have great food. I ordered a falafel (I know, kinda weird,) and they didn’t have all of the ingredients so they gave us an extra pizza! The staff and delivery guys are also the nicest people! They also deliver to us in Norwood! Big thumbs up!!“

“We had a very nice waiter, but we were a large party and I think he could've used some assistance. It took a while for him going back-and-forth to bring out all of our food and then trying to go back to get all our drinks. I was disappointed in the presentation of the fillets when it was simply a piece of meat in the middle of a white plate no sauces no garnish or anything. Both mine and my son fillets were rare inside when we asked for it to be medium we had to send that back, which was disappointing. In the past we always had great food, but I definitely think the presentation and the quality is going downhill. I asked if there was any kind of sauces like a red wine Reduction or anything they said no I've never been to a restaurant that offered fillets that don't offer any kind of sauces that other than butter. The waiter was very nice and he worked very hard but like I said, I think that he should've had someone helping him for such a large party, especially when our bill was $800“

“We ate at Shi Daxia hotpot after our first Red Sox game. It was an amazing end to an amazing day. My son got a baseball at his first Red Sox game. The mascots came up and took photos with us. Then to top it all off, we went to the restaurant at 10pm and they said we could have dinner there quickly. They were so polite about it. The meat at the hotpot was fresh and delicious.

Would I eat there again ? Absolutely !!!“

“Very small place that can't Accommodate more than two customers at a time. Tough on customers during snow/rains with zero provisions for shelter outside.
The pastries are a saving grace, by the way. Nothing distinguishing about their sourdough and other bread varieties though good (slightly expensive). Their flour-free chocolate cake takes the cake for innovation and taste.
If only they would make an effort to combine the coffee shop next door (also owned/leased by clearflour mgmt.) they could customer convenience that bit more amenable.“

“Decided to walk through Allston on a grody, misty afternoon and look for some food. Walked in by chance and at my SO’s insistence that we give it a look. I loved everything about the aesthetic, and enjoyed the soft music playing in the background. Being able to choose the ingredients I wanted - knowing they were organic and that they looked more than delicious raw...that was the absolute best part. The gentleman at the front was supremely helpful and answered any question thrown at him - by anyone in the shop. The price was more than worth the amount of food received, and the care extended to us as guests was wonderful. I absolutely would recommend anyone to give this a try. Don’t hesitate to ask a question, you will definitely get an answer. :)“

“One of the freshest, crispiest, and tastiest dumpling place in Boston. Their soup dumpling is fresh and packed with umami soup. The Shanghai pork buns all have a crispy bottom with soft dough and flavorful pork stuffing. Their hand pulled noodles are also fresh with lots of veggies and the portion size is very generous! Lit will come back!“

“My second review went less than a week. Got takeout tonight. The food is fabulous. Staff is wonderful. There was a mess up with the toast app. They quickly fixed it. I got to sit at the bar and talk to the bartender. Really nice guy. The food is so flavorful. Usually my wife says I can cook better than the food we eat at most restaurants. (I love to cook. I'm a vegetarian so I ordered teokbokki because there weren't any fish cakes in it but we tasted a strong fish flavour so I assumed there was fish sauce inside, but not mentioned in the menu. I didn't ask for it, so it's partially my bad. But a vegan/vegetarian sign next to the dishes would be appreciated! Service fast and efficient“
