I'd seen some recent SSBP pics on Facebook lately, so I decided to check out the Venus. A friend and I arrived around 6:30 pm the Friday of St.Pat's weekend. There were plenty of seats at the bar but we opted for a booth in the dining area. Look, this is a local dive bar catering to locals. You could come dressed in your pajamas. It's been years since I had the pizza.It was better than I remembered and it was also the first time I ate inside. Great food and service. The take card, which is something we didn't think to check before going.Greek salad doesn't have lettuce in it. I tried the Venus Cafe for the first time today for takeout. I ordered a green pepper onion and mushroom pizza. I got there early and got it as soon as he popped it into the box, so there was no time for it to steam in the box. I usually have my dog with me, so that's why I get take-out a lot.
