“Just had Swanton Street Diner's food (via GrubHub). for the first time. Delicious, huge quantities, all top Notch ingredients.and prices that remind me of the good old days before the pandemic. My Wife LOVED the chicken stir fry and she is picky about food I was impressed by my contractor's breakfast. Best home fries I've had in twenty years. looking forward to working our way through your menu one item at a time. Five***** stars“

“Perfect. This is the kind of place I can come back to! Local, historical, ethical and flavorful! We were lucky enough to get seats at the counter where you can see all the action. Food, service and atmosphere are all top notch. As an added bonus for all of you day drinkers out there, this diner has a liquor license. This place is historical and also nowhere near the Patriot Trail so if you're there you did it on purpose. I think my favorite thing was the hustle and bustle of regular folks coming in and out of the diner, including two cops who were picking up a lunch order!“

“My wife and I were in Wakefield to purchase car and when we were finished we realized we had not eaten all day. We found this gem of a diner. The waitress was very friendly and attentive. The food was outstanding. I started with the beef stew. it was excellent. It was not to salty, you could tell it was homemade the flavor brought me back to childhood. My wife started with the chicken and rice soup which she said was also fantastic, once again not to salty. I had the hot turkey sandwich with gravy. The gravy was outstanding. My wife had the teriyaki chicken stir-fry which was delicious. We needed the meal by brining home 6 raisin oatmeal cookies. I would highly recommend North Ave. Diner if you are in the area.“

“What an exceptional gem in the middle of the hustle and bustle of the city! The waitor was extremely kind, patient, and accommodating to our family. We traveled in from out of state for medical appointments and were welcomed with open arms. My sons have autism and ADHD, one is non-verbal. No judgement, no looks, no differential treatment, and absolutely no doubt we are valued customers. What a fantastic feeling knowing you can come to the city and there is a place that is not only kind but accommodating to individuals who are different. “We went for the first time today and had a really great experience! We came in with our 2 year old and there weren't any tables so we sat at the counter with the toddler. The food came super fast and was perfect for him and then a table opened up and they promptly reseated us and helped us bring all of our stuff. “Food is decently priced compared to the area. The Carne Asada plate is not their forte but they do have great burgers and omelets. No truck parking. You can park on the side of the road but it's not that convenient. They do have delivery however and they're fast and friendly. If you're delivering to the Boston Market or the New England Market then hit this place up for a nice freshly cooked meal.“

“i ordered banana stuffed pancakes as per the menu and well it wasn’t what i imagined and they were kinda tough for a pancake. but tasty paired with the warm syrup. it was a nice touch. my other dish was maple peppered chicken benedict i thought it tasted like thanksgiving. there was and overpower of pepper vs the no maple flavor it provided lol. the home fries were very salty and cold but small so their cute. our server was great, friendly and attentive, although some of the employees seem overworked. great place for a late night eat!!

“If you want a hometown diner feel, this is the place to go! Went for breakfast here this morning and it was great! The service, food and staff were awesome. I just had surgery on my hand and I mentioned to my cousin how an omelette would be easier to eat then picking up a sandwich. The waitress quickly chimed in and told me the cook will cut it into fours for me! I would recommend this place to anyone! 😊“

“Jimmy’s is an amazing find. From the moment you walk in you’re warmly welcomed wether your the only customer or walking in with every seat filled. The energy is buzzing with friendly conversation as you can tell there are always returning customers and you feel right at home. Prices are beyond fair especially given the quality; coffees always bold and fresh. Home fries are by far the best in middelsex county. Everything from the hash to the pancakes is always great and has the made from scratch taste. The best part of Jimmys is the family who owns it, Rita is one of a kind and you can’t replicate this place or it’s atmosphere anywhere else. I recommend to give Jimmys a try if you haven’t yet, you will be back for more!“
