I work at Cabana pools right next to them and he brought me a tray of food after I wandered in when it was closed to buy some food for me and my boss. What a lovely little place! “Vera's food is wonderfully simple and top notch. While this restaurant, known for it's great authentic italian pizzas has been in the south osborne area for sometime now, it is truly a fantastic addition to the vibrant & nolstagic Riverview Fort Rouge neighborhood it calls home.
While the service is nothing fancy, the service is quick, efficient and all the staff seem polite and well versed on the menu. When weather permits the patio is a nice touch with the tree canopys of Riverview overhead. The patio is preferred by many as the interior of the restaurant is small ,quant and a lil dated...but none of that matters once your pizza arrives. Pizzas are insanely good here, not drowning in grease and cheese, but thin authentic and creative. I had the Hot Honey Pork Za with a side of italian meatballs....and it all blew my mind. Our food arrived in 15 minutes on a busy night fresh out of the oven. The food was a great contrast to some of the other types of ho-hum pizza joints out there.
I may sound a little bias but i am just a strong cheerleader for small business owners who commit to a vision of creative quality- consistency and customer care and actually execute in one of the most challenging sectors out there...Rougers dont mess around! Well done Vera's”

“I went to bar barito today to grab lunch for my dad and I. There was this wonderful lady that helped me. She was very genuine and provided me with information on the menu that went beyond what was expected. She gave me samples of the sauses when I was indecisive on which to pick from. She even wrote “Dad<3” with a little heart next to it on his. Her service was much appreciated.”

Great part about that is the patio is dog friendly so bring your furry friend! Service and food is terrific as always and many dishes can be adjusted for vegetarian and are still just as fantastic.”

“We had lunch at Cilantros Portage Avenue. Great service and great food. I had the desi wings. I like breaded wings. I don't know what they bread with, but these were amazing and crunchy with a cool fresh diced veggie sauce. My wife had two samosas in a tasty chick pea sauce. I have never really liked samosas before because they were always dry and bland. These were great with just the right amount of heat in the sauce.”
