Tonight we had our Mother's Day Celebration for our St. John's High school Grandma Support Group.

The staff were wonderful! They were very friendly and polite. The service was incredible!
The food came out quickly, was hot, and absolutely delicious!

“i only get poutine from nyf as they have vegetarian gravy and i’m happy with my service!! i did make an order off of uber eats for a poutine but just a regular order of fries came… BUT the staff was SUPER helpful, friendly, and apologetic for the inconvenience. when i ordered the same a few days later, they sent DOUBLE my order and a note apologizing for the other day.

“I had the pleasure of running across this quaint little ice cream shop, with a large selection of very tasty ice cream. It was the day we celebrated Pinawa Birthday. I wanted ice cream and later went back for coffee. Our party of three each ordered a different flavour and were delighted in taste testing each others. The ice cream was so good. We had to wait our turn in the line up but it was so worth it. I went by later for coffee and discovered they were supposed to be closed an hour before that but the happy customers kept coming so she made us our lattes. There was a group of Police man after us and Julia happily served them after us. I loved the ice cream, I loved the passionate and friendly service and the lattes were very tasty. It’s nice to see a small town business being run with such care, compassion to stay over time and such a tasty selection. If you haven’t tried it yet… GO. I will be back. 😊😊😊“

“My family has been going to Komodo restaurant for decades, 3 owners, same great food. So sad the buffet didn't come back after covid. Filled my plate with deep fried mushrooms many times. We still oder from them for family gatherings all these years later. Never let us down. Always ready on time. 4 stars for atmosphere because there's no dine in, so not really significant.“

The food, at least with delivery, has been inconsistent lately. It's like the pho is no longer being cooked or tasted by those who know what it's supposed to taste like. Just tastes watered down. Bottles 1/2 cooked. Gotta almost always cold and i live 4 blocks away... So not sure why, but it seems the quality is not as good as it was.... too bad... I used to order twice a week from here.. I'm down to twice a month. After today throwing out half a bowl of water soup i think I'm taking a break from this place for a bit.

“Ate there last night for the first time. I had the gluten free beef enchiladas (I have celiac disease) and they were delicious!! Everyone enjoyed their meals. The owner gave me a brief history of his journey in Winnipeg in providing gluten free products (although he does not have celiac disease, nor does he have allergies or gluten intolerance). He does not up charge for gf meals and doesn’t believe in penalizing those who can’t eat gluten because of a medical condition. So refreshing to hear!!!! “I went there on a freezing Sunday afternoon, and the atmosphere here was warm and inviting. Very friendly, engaging bilingual staff who went out of their way for me.

And the coffee is sans pareil. A wonderful deep roasted-nut draught of cheer.

“Nuburger Kenaston: I was greeted by two very warm and friendly gentlemen. One of them gave me a low-down on the menu as I had never been there before. My burger (monster something rather) was huge and soooo delicious! The fries contained the perfect amount of salt and crispness…you know when the ends have just a little extra oil and it adds to the taste😋However, nothing surpassed my expectations more than the service. One of the gentlemen offered to help carry my order to the car and held doors open. 120/10!! 😉“

“Everything we've gotten here has been excellent, and reasonably priced.

Generous portions of sashimi, nigiri with the perfect rice to fish ratio, perfect rolls, and tender and crispy tempura.

The service is excellent too. Theyr are attentive and make sure you're well taken care of. They're also very sweet to our kid.

Dining in and takeout have both impressed us. Every time we eat here we question why we bother with the other sushi options in the area.“

“I visited Blufish yesterday evening with my boyfriend and my mom (we were all craving sushi), and we heard lots of great reviews and word that Blufish was one of the top places in Winnipeg to go for good sushi (alongside Yujiro on Grant). We reserved a table earlier in the day online - this was a super easy and convenient option! We ended up arriving 15 minutes early and they were able to accommodate (I was 100% okay with waiting if needed, but it was great to see how accommodating and welcoming the crew at Blufish was). ☺️ First off - the cocktails. 😍 I tried both their Plumtini and Lychee-tini, and I honestly could have sipped on those all night long. Our server was really great with recommending cocktails to try as well! Between the three of us, we ordered a variety of items - from edamame beans and vegetable tempura, to sashimi and nigiri sushi, and a few different rolls. I myself have a shellfish allergy (a sin for a person who loves sushi), and the staff were very accommodating with making sure that the items that were unsafe for me were on separate plates, and they acknowledged when those specific rolls were on the table as well. Kudos to the staff - this effort meant so much to me! 🙌🏼 The sashimi and nigiri was amazing, their wasabi was great - the only items I found I could have passed on were their salmon bakudan roll, the seaweed wrap was quite chewy and not my favourite, and their philadelphia roll (again, just a tad bit chewier than I’m used to - although I will say that I really appreciated that they were open to switching out the smoked salmon for raw salmon with this roll). These are not reasons that will deter me from returning though - I will definitely come back again! I can definitely vouch after this visit that Blufish is indeed one of the top places in Winnipeg for sushi - I will agree with that one!“

Not only did they look amazing, they tasted amazing and are fairly big. we ordered a week ahead and they were ready on time as promised.
