“First time here, service was excellent, waitress was really charming & personable, didn't even have to ask to be told specials, food was delicious. I found my wrap to be more rice than anything else but I'd go here just for the quality of fries. Atmosphere was very dark & private in our little corner, the strung up lights lending a touch romance. Not ideal for a work lunch but next time I'll know what to ask for. Parking availability is not great, unfortunately.Parking: Parking lot is very small & shared with other businesses. Save yourself a trip around the block & just park on the street to begin with.“

“We've been there once on a Friday evening dinner and once had a delivery. The restaurant was a bit busy but the staff was very welcoming, nice and timely, explained all nicely. We had empanadas and a pizza - all delicious. Another time we ordered empanadas - came quickly, still crunchy (wow) and we could actually tell which flavor was which (another wow - they had markings to help distinguish). Empanadas were all (really all!) reaaaally good and so rich in flavors! Really recommend this place.“

“Stopped in for a late night bite after a concert down the road.The service was awesome, very friendly young woman the bartender on was also very nice.I tried the chicken sandwich with a salad and a cocktail.All of which I was quite surprised by the quality.I find these days the difference between fast food and sit down restaurants are very small.But I would definitely say this place goes above the industry standard for quality.I eat a lot on the road for work and I've spent most of my life running restaurants so I try to keep a running list of places to go again.. most often i wouldn't go out of my way to return, but i definitely will be back next time I'm in town.Its not often I actually think about maybe going back to the same place in the same trip.I should have gone back again tonight but such is life.Next time“

“Honestly such a gem of downtown winnipeg! The folks that run this place are so sweet and the food is so delicious.I've been coming to Affinity for probably about 10 years sporadically, and every time I come I wonder why I waited so long.The lunch buffet on Tuesday and Thursday is my favorite as you can try a variety of foods and you pay by weight. When I eat at a normal buffet I feel obligated to eat way too much to get my money worth . This format is much better as I do not over eat ?Plus as a 97% vegetarian I am so happy to be able to eat everything off the menu or buffet without having to stick to a few menu items like other restaurants.Over the years the food quality has stay consistent and same with the portion sizes!Everyone I bring here loves it as much as I do!Vegetarian options: Everything is vegan so you don't need to worry about picking from the same 5 items every time you come!“

I ended up getting the Crown and Coke burger because it was a tossup between getting the brisket on the menu or a burger. And there is a piece of brisket on this burger so I get the best of both worlds. The burger was thick and juicy, and had a lot of flavour coming from the dried onion as well as the way they braise the meat in the crown royal and Coke definitely infuses it with a unique taste. The bun was a little bit greasy and seem to have soaked up a lot of the sauce, which I didn’t really like. I had a poutine on the side, and I couldn’t finish it because I thought that the gravy was pretty salty. I ended up getting a child size mac & cheese for my child and it was actually very decent portion. It was cheesy and delicious.“

“I went here for the first time for a late lunch. I was greeted at the door and directed to sit by the window. Decor is quite dated, relatively clean, with dimmed lighting away from the window. No other customers were there or came in. I was kindly brought water without asking for it. The menu had a great variety of options, and they have an all you can eat menu, which I did not look into. After a few minutes, my order was taken. I ordered two sushi maki rolls - firefly and chicken teriyaki. They came out in a timely manner, were nicely presented, warm and delicious. There wasn't too much rice, though I'm not sure that it was sushi rice, it looked like long grain. The server didn't check on me to see how the meal was, and eventually I had to get up to find them for a food box and the bill. Payment was taken at the front entry. Overall, I would order from here again, but probably as take out.Parking: There's no parking on Portage Ave between 1530 - 1730. So you have to use limited side street parking and walk a bit to the restaurant.“
