We went on a Saturday evening around 6pm. It wasn't too busy, and all of the staff were very attentive and helping each other out. Kadi was our server and came around just the right amount of times. We had the hummus and brushetta which was really really good, and a 16 inch calabrese which was cooked perfectly. They had no problem substituting caramelized onions for the olives on the pizza. Nice atmosphere, the lounge makes you forget you're out in the suburbs. I would highly recommend this restaurant!

We went before the Jets game, food is great and the service was incredible.

Terrible experience, every thing we tried to order they were out of, our server was laughing after the 3rd time returning saying they did not have that item anymore. After finally getting a meal we ended up with food poisoning. We will not be returning

We've been to the Carbone's on Taylor a number of times - this was my family's first evening at the downtown location.

Holy Balls! Do you like meatballs? Carbone's meatballs are nothing short of AMAZE-BALLS. You know what would have made the balls even better? BREAD. I do not cut carbs and I would have loved to soak up the sauce with a hunk of yummy bread. I miss the days when the waitstaff just plopped off a nice bread basket. Anyways...I need to backtrack. We stopped in on a Friday night and were quickly seated and waited on. A good start, indeed! I love a good cocktail list - and always a tough decision but I was chilly after our walk downtown so I warmed up with an Old-Fashioned. It hit the spot. Hubby got a local beer on tap - sorry I forgot which, but he loved it. Our waitress was awesome, and even gave us a heads up on a late happy hour - who doesn't love deals? We ended up with $5.00 margherita pizza and a $6.00 glass of Malbec. Both did not disappoint. LOVED the crust. Unfortunately, the kids did not want pizza and ordered pasta (not on special). The rigatoni has a nice hearty sauce and perfect for kids and hungry adults. Basic and delicious. The other was a pasta with a dreamy mushroom wine sauce - also DEEELISH!! I don't hold back on dessert and splurged on the hazelnut- mousse dish - it was a giant blob of gooey delight. If I lived in Winnipeg I would love to return here again and again. The pizza menu was full of mouth watering options. The salads and appetizers were also appealing-as I mentioned, we loved the meatballs! I would have loved to try more but I can only eat so much. What I didn't appreciate was the teeny-bopper music. It was a little too loud for me but I'm old and I will say my boys liked it (ages 14 and 23). Overall a great spot to eat or drink! Not overpriced and great service, great menu. What more does one want?

Hope you aren’t hungry Stopped by with co workers for lunch during our work day - took 40 minutes to get the equivalent of toast with toppings Salad was watery and disappointing Will not return and will Not recommend
Food is good, however I have been there a couple times & each time it seemed like the waitresses forgot about my family and I. They were also out of the things we wanted. (Like prawns and beer). I've ordered the tagliatelle multiple times and each time it was delicious; probably my new favorite pasta dish. Highly recommend, though again the service hasnt been great.

We ate the Italian model and the garlic chili lime prawns - both delicious, one of the best pizzas in the city. The pizza could have been served faster since it was lunch time and we nearly ended up late back to the office. I think they were waiting for us to finish the appetizer, but should realize people who come in at lunch time are on break and shouldn't treat the situation like dinner. I would go back for dinner, maybe not lunch due to inconvenience.

How do you give 0 stars? The manager should be fired. Everything we ordered from beer to food they didn't have, they were out. And it took 45 minutes to figure that out. It was absolutely ridiculous. They wasted our lunch hour and no apology.
