Does not treat server staff well !
Not a review , a fact .
They still owe their servers their tip money since closing.!
Little Nana's is a true gem, offering a fantastic dining experience that hits all the right notes. From the generous portions to the warm atmosphere and attentive staff, it's a place you'll want to return to.
The food is undeniably the star. The bruschetta was a standout, earning a "really really good" accolade, and rightfully so. The 4 cheese pizza was another crowd-pleaser, delivering a satisfyingly cheesy and flavorful experience. The linguine chicken pasta was the only slight misstep, being "a bit too tangy," but even that didn't detract from the overall positive impression.
One of the most notable aspects of Little Nana's is the generous portion sizes. You definitely get your money's worth, and the fact that they happily pack up your leftovers is a testament to their commitment to customer satisfaction.
The ambiance is equally impressive, creating a cozy and welcoming environment. The staff deserves special mention for their helpfulness and accommodation, making the dining experience even more enjoyable. It's no surprise that reservations are highly recommended, as this popular spot fills up quickly.
The complementary bread is a thoughtful touch, and the genuine prices make Little Nana's an excellent value.

Firstly, parking to get into this place was disjointed; I had to park on the side street of Beverly Street. As soon as we walked in, I noticed that all the staff behind the counter and in the kitchen were under the age of twenty-five. We were seated promptly by a sweet young lady who put her foot up on the booth to tie her shoe after seating me, a rather strange custom for a server. They brought out a tiny basket of bread that looked like a five-year-old had squeezed it all day and put it in the basket; the bread had a bite to it, something I couldn't put my finger on, maybe horseradish. We left the bread. We ordered the popular arancini balls, and they were basically that; they could have used some salt. The sauce that came with the arancini appetizer looked like Hunts tomato sauce right out of the can - no flavor and basically water. Finally, the main dishes came out, and my rose penne was good but nothing out of the ordinary. The pasta certainly did not taste freshly made, and the cream sauce was alright. For $30.00, I expected better. My companion ordered the spaghetti and meatballs, and the three meatballs on top of basic spaghetti that looked white because the sauce was so watery and flavorless. Typically, I would just add salt and pepper to give it some seasoning, but to my dismay, there was no salt and pepper on any of the tables. The vestibules we sat in were alright, but not enough to make me return. We waited two months to get into this place and it was lackluster.

My husband & I ordered spaghetti & meatballs & spaghetti carbonara. The red sauce was far too salty. Had to send it back. Even my husband, who can handle excessive salt, said it was very salty. The next batch was a bit better but still quite salty. Portions are large & service was good (except a long wait for the food). They took 20% off our bill. We expected more considering the fact that having to send my food back ruined the dining experience. I was no longer hungry by the time the 2nd meal arrived. We won't go back but good to try new places & support local.

The restaurant was so cold we all kept our jackets and sweaters on. The charming woman who was our server was fun and delightful. The plates felt like they had been stored in the freezer so the moment food was shared it was cold. Not a good dining experience.

Pasta was under cooked and just a disappointment, expected tender house made pasta and sauce did not receive that. Arancini was recommended but the rice was not consistently cooked some bites were full of undercooked crunchy rice. Pizza was doughy and under whelming. Meal was not worth the $100+ price tag.

Probably the worst dining experience I’ve had in Winnipeg.
The pasta on my Chicken Parm was mushy but dry, the sauce was tasteless and the chicken was rubbery. My friend’s carbonara was too salty and pasta also overcooked. No one was even close to finishing their meals, S
There was only 1 waitress and even though she tried and apologized, she was never around and we waited almost 30mins for our bill and to pack up our leftover meals. Very disappointing , very expensive and I wouldn’t go back or recommend to anyone.
