Going at 5:00 was a perfect time for our valentines date! It was almost empty so it felt like we had the whole place to ourselves. Margerita pizza is amazingg, love the red decorations, and server was awesome. I think they should add more to their cocktail menu, and I wonder how the atmosphere is when it turns into a bar ? Probably best to go earlier for a little date night in my opinion :) we enjoyed it!!Dietary restrictions: Lots of gluten free options available

I went to Friskee at the perfect time, just before the dinner rush, and was treated to a wonderful service and dinner with virtually zero delays. The service was fantastic, and the food was delicious. The central lounge has a super cool, ambient atmosphere with the music serving to accompany the conversation, as opposed to drown it. The non-alcoholic drink options were also a wonderful thing to choose from, and I was very pleased with my choice. I hope to return soon!

We came as a party of 6 and service was very pleasant and quick. Our cocktails and appetizers were absolutely delicious. We tried the Friskee Old Fashioned, Ship Wreck, Bourbon Sour, Ceasar and Hat as Fack cocktails and shared the platter of a dozen oysters. The sauce for the oysters was a great compliment. Dinner was served hot and the presentation was lovely. We had the tomato soup and Harvest Salad, chicken and ribs, Poached Atlantic Salmon, fish and chips, Mussel Scallop cream linguine, and the Steak au Poivre over Fettuccini. Absolutely everything was so good and full of flavor! Would definitely eat here again and next time we're trying dessert!Dietary restrictions: There are a few gluten free options to choose from too!

Loved it! My friend suggested we meet there for dinner with our daughters. The atmosphere is perfect although surprisingly not as busy as I expected. We arrived in time for “happy hour” and I asked the bartender what cocktail he would recommend. I can’t recall the name…it was a honey old fashioned but before serving he lit a piece of wood inside the glass to add a smoky aroma which really elevated the flavour. I ordered the Brussels sprouts appetizer (I know I know-but seriously didn’t have any bitterness to it and the whole grain mustard sauce made me want to lick the plate clean!) I again asked for the waiter to help me decide between the mussels or the clam chowder…and I’m so glad I did! The clam chowder is the chef’s mom’s recipe-so of course that’s what I ordered. It was delicious. Creamy but not heavy, full of tasty morsels, and with a bit of peppery heat at the finish. For dessert they had either pecan pie or crème brûlée…and my daughter and I chose to share the crème brûlée. A perfect sugar crust on top with delicious creamy custard and blueberries…a perfect end to the meal. I was too busy enjoying the food to take pictures but I did take a picture of the cocktail to tease my husband at home with the kids. I highly recommend this restaurant and will definitely be back!Vegetarian options: My daughter is vegetarian and enjoyed the butter bean bruschetta and creamy tomato soup.

We wanted to try a new place for our anniversary. Nice place, but $44 for a lobster roll that is of similar quality to one you can get for like $12 at Soup, Sandwiches, and More. Service was pretty poor. I had the wrong meal brought and had the luxury of waiting for my food while my wife got to watch her's cool down in front of her (she didn't want to eat without me).$170+ bill between two people.Look elsewhere.

A first visit to a new restaurant to Winnipeg. We shared fish and chips and PEI mussels. Both were fresh and tasty. Fish was battered and very crispy coating. Mussels had great flavour.I was looking for a more East Coast atmosphere??

I have no idea why anyone would even attempt to open a seafood restaurant in Winnipeg MB.Crazy restauraunt ideas everywhere!!This whole industry has turned into nothing but a joke .There is simply no motivation for a consumer to go out and eat anymore or any good cook or chef who wants to work in these environments of demand with no reward.Underpaid, unmotivated staff mostly due to the lack of thanks from managers and ownership looking for that max profit .Such a poor business sense.I knew the moment I read about this place that it was going to fail .To many excuses and whining from owners and managers still trying to run there operations like they did in the 80s .With 30 yrs in this business I have watched the change in attitude, quality and lack of a harmonious work enviroment, and can only hold owners and managers responsible for there lack of success. The amount of whining from business owners is just disgusting .Ya blame the pandemic right? No cooks? No wonder!!!What a joke .I always get a kick out of the perfect 5 star reviews.
