fix up the rooms a bit. lamps don't work, hair in the bed, furniture in bad shape, someone was smoking heavy in the room, faucet drips, toilet paper wasn't even on the roll and was all wet. just not clean at all. not worth even the hun they got. disgusting.
Would give it 0 stars if I could.
Checked in after my 11 hour drive. Immediately saw orange stains all over my bedsheets. Asked for new sheets and the employee working at the front desk told me the housekeeper was away but gave me a sheet so I could put it on myself. Imagine driving 11 hours just to have to do work for a room you paid for because it’s dirty through no fault of your own.

This hotel is nothing like advertised. Totally disgusting. Bedding so gray I asked for clean sheets and was told I had to change it myself (eventually got them changed by staff). Really old beds. The smell of stale cigarette smoke was awful even though a note in the room said we’d be charged for smoking if we did (both non smokers). The room was filthy. I could go on and on……
The New Cavalier Inn is a great place with friendly staff and a chill environment. The rooms may need some improvement, but the nearby activities make up for it. It's a perfect spot to grab a drink with friends and play pool. The bartenders are genuine and welcoming. A variety of restaurants and attractions are within walking distance, making it a convenient choice for visitors.
