“This hidden gem is a MUST visit!! I landed here twice in the same week. I went to a birthday dinner with family and friends. The owners ordinarily would not have accepted a reservation from our size group (about 17 ppl) at the last minute bc they were short staffed however, they welcomed us with open arms, warm hearts, excellent food, and great service. There were only four employees on duty this day, the owner, the manager, the cook, and a server (his first job and first day)🤦🏾. The way we were treated, you wouldn't believe that it was his first job, or first day! He was nervous but very thorough 😃 The manager and owner came out, had great conversations all while assisting with food orders. The food arrived to the tables steaming hot. It was well-seasoned, and very flavorful... just delicious. After our meal, we met the cook. Unbeknownst to us, he was only 26 years old🤦🏾 His food tasted like our southern grandmother's were in the kitchen. The fish, chicken, greens, pork chops, sweet potatoes made your mouth water. I'm tasting the flavors as I type this review😋😋. I might have to ride out today for lunch😃“

“Old Blue catered my daughters wedding. I will be recommending them to everyone I know. Old Blue has the best BBQ food in the greater DC area - so, that would be enough to recommend them - however, if you are planning an event, you will not believe the quality of the service they offer. Everyone was helpful, had great suggestions, they even shared decorations with us. The day of the wedding was also perfect - they were attentive and seemed to anticipate every need. Again, they would be worth it just for the food, but they perfect because of everything else.“

“Hiring Tasteful Affairs was the best decision we made for our wedding. I talked to several other caterers on our venue's list, and not only were they the most affordable, their food was delicious, and they were also the nicest and easiest to work with putting a proposal together. Emilie goes above and beyond, and I sometimes felt like she knew what I wanted better than I did. We got lots of compliments from guests on the food, and the room and tables were set up perfectly and looked more beautiful than I hoped. You can't go wrong working with them!“

“The food was so good! I ordered the crab cake sandwich (special for the day), with Mac & cheese and potato salad. I also ordered the sweet potato pie egg rolls with henny cream sauce. First, the crab cake sandwich was huge and meaty. It was very good and I’d go back off that alone. Everything else was very good as well. The sweet potatoes pie egg rolls were amazing and I don’t even generally like sweet potatoes, but it sounded so good and it didn’t disappoint. I also met Derrick and Shae while I was there and they were very kind. I’ll be back! I wish I had photos, but I ate the food too fast.“

“I was here from Florida to visit family recently and ate at Apple Spice Junction for the first time. My sister had raved about it. Since I have to eat gluten-free, I was thrilled to find out that they have gluten-free bread. It was by far the best gluten-free bread I have ever had. The texture and taste were exceptional. All of the ingredients on my southwestern salad and southwestern sandwich were very fresh and delicious. The portions were extremely generous, almost like two full meals instead of you pick two.
