“Everything was pretty good. The food tasted good. And it could just be me but the chicken looked slightly weird. The breading was too perfect and crisp so makes me wonder where the product is breaded, on site or if they order from Sysco like that. Or wherever they order their food from. The burgers were really juicy, not super flavorful though. They do offer alternative buns and we got lettuce buns. They give you a good amount of lettuce which I was pleased by. Their drinks either come from a can or a soda fountain. Water is in water bottle form and when I was there it was $1.50 for water or kids drinks. The pickle fries were good. Thin and crispy.“

“Absolutely delicious! The spicy chicken and fish were cooked perfectly crispy on the outside, juicy and flavorful on the inside. The seasoning was on point with just the right amount of heat, and everything tasted fresh and made to order. Portions were generous and the quality was top-tier. I ordered the Chiken and Lamb over rice.

It was delicious, not the best but good enough. My Chiken was a little dry but with the white souce it was ok (Something to take care of). All and all it was good.

The quality was great and fresh, survise was friendly and welcoming.

“My only other experience with afghani food was prepared by local international students from Afghanistan. It was to die for.
I will be honest, I was hesitant to try this place because my expectations were really high given my past experience with the cuisine.
It did NOT disappoint. Don’t skip a beat coming to this place. The food is exceptional, from the rice, to the naan, to the meat. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming. As a bonus, our two year old devoured the food as well.

“Tried Upper Crust for the first time today. It’s now my new go to pizza place. We’ve lived in Elkridge on the east end of HoCo for 25 years and our local joints have just fallen off lately so i went in search of a new place to get good pizza. I love good pizza. This place has great crust, it’s crispy and chewy just like it’s supposed to be. The ratio of sauce and cheese and toppings was just right too. If you’re looking for good pizza in central or eastern HoCo this is the place. It’s right near Howard High. Thank you Upper Crust for being there for me and having great pizza.“

“These guys make very good food, and they are very eager to please. They have two menus, one with American food like pizza and burgers and fried chicken, and the other with Indian food. Personally I like their non-curry dishes. It is quite spicy and never bland. Tonight I had the chicken thigh dinner which was very soft and spicy. It was fantastic. Ordered two Halal Beef Brisket sandwich combos with french fries and a canned soft drink each, a Halal Bacon and Brisket combo sandwich with curly fries and can of coke, Mozzarella cheese sticks combo and a chicken tender serving. Overall the family enjoyed the food, my beef bacon was over cooked and the strips of beef brisket were thin slivers of meat with a barely discernable flavor coated with copious amounts of BBQ sauce. First impression was so-so, for me. Seating was barely adequate with people standing over your head to order. It was night time and rainy sonif they have outdoor seating, it was not part of the equation tonight. I will definitely visit again as I like to support small upcoming businesses and I like the concept of contemporary American food for those who prefer to eat Halal.“

I had a fantastic lunch at The Halal Guys. I ordered the chicken platter, chicken wings, and the baklava cheesecake, and everything was absolutely delicious. The flavors were rich and satisfying, and the desserts were the perfect sweet ending to the meal.

What really stood out was the exceptional service provided by Ahmed. He was attentive, friendly, and made sure my experience was enjoyable from start to finish.

“Right now, as I sit in Dave’s Hot Chicken in Glen Burnie, I’m almost done eating- and right now the back of my eyeballs are vibrating, my nose is running, the top of my head is sweating and I’m SO HAPPY!

Yes, hot means hot. 🥵. Thank God for pickles and free refills for soda.

I walked in, having never been here before - never had Dave’s. The young lady behind the counter was not much help, but I figured out what I wanted. They had the food done fast and I got started.

Hotness did not undue the depth of the seasoning and the taste of the chicken. It was the kind of hot that hurts, but that you can’t stop! You have to keep going. I love that feeling with food.

The fries were delicious- just right crispy and the Dave’s sauce was tasty and unique enough that you noticed.

I got a shake to balance everything out and it was good. Soft-serve basically with a slight mocha flavor.

Parking spaces here are tight so you will want to get away from the front spots and save yourself a door ding.

Overall it’s recommended by this spicy food lover.“

“This hidden gem is one of my go to spots. The owner is friendly and helpful along with his son. The Falafel Wrap is one of my favorites and I always get it with everything including the hots. They even have a homemade sauce called “mambo sauce” and it’s delicious! I always put old bay and the mambo sauce on my potato wedges.
