“It's a really nice place to go. Had a date with my wife here. Really one of those rare places you love to support. The food is great and the service too. Great option for carry out if you don't want to eat outside. My wife said awesome date ?? ? ?“
“Today was our first time trying Pita On The Plaza. Right off the bat, you get good vibes from the woman taking orders at the window (I think she is one of the owners), she knows some of the customers by name and knows their orders. Though, I am not a regular (yet), she was just as friendly and welcoming. They were busy, but the food came out quick and accurate! We ordered hummus, side of falafel, chicken, shawarma wrap, falafel wrap and baklawa. Everything was incredible! You can tell that the ingredients are fresh and the food is made with love.I can’t wait to come back to try the other menu items!Vegetarian options: Hummus, baba ganoush, falafel, falafel wrap, labneh dip, Mediterranean salad, Greek salad, 3MBC wrap, etc“
“The burritos are great here: fresh ingredients wrapped in a beautiful, almost polished, tortilla.Chilled Jarrito sodas sold here too.I was surprised to find this is a food truck in a quasi-permanent installation near a gas station, but don't let that stop you. And, there is a suitable sit-down space across the street and the Takoma Junction community area including a covered area. One suggestion to the restaurant: add some more sauce options; my personal favorite is chipotle sauce ?“
“The pork ribs were so tender and smokey. The pichana sandwich was delicious, the toppings perfectly complemented the meat. The beef ribs sandwich was incredible as well, easy to bite into and a flavor bomb every bite! This place is spectacular.“
“I celebrated my PhD today in this fine place. Well we enjoyed a great evening and the place was definitely one of the reasons for the outstanding celebration. The team participated in a very nice manner, the cuisine was yummy and my guests were so thrilled. We shall no dout return for more celebrations. thanks very much.“
“I have been a long time customer of the truck but live in Kensington, and am thrilled they have opened! Their food is always amazing, they never disappoint!Vegetarian options: My favorite vegetarian option is the mushroom tacos! Soooooo good! ?“
“I was recommended this place by a long time local restauranteur. The owners of this truck are HIGHLY respected cooks in the county, especially the Olney area. I was a little surprised by the menu but ordered one item from each "side." I got the cubano sub which is more like a steak and cheese than a Cuban, and the carne asada platter. The food was truly outstanding and that cubano sub really blew me away. It's a delicious, unique take on the traditional Cuban sandwich. The carne asada was wonderful and the portion sizes were huge. Highly recommend coming here if you're in the area. You'll be full all day!“
“Halal Brothers is one of the best hidden gems in Silver Spring! I always get the delicious chicken over rice. The chicken is always ultra fresh and perfectly cooked, portions are large, the white sauce and spicy sauces are incredible, it's balanced with the perfect amount of rice and greens, the price is low cost, and the owners are very friendly and kind. Highly recommend to all!“
“Best pupusas ive had here in Md. Great quality. Pupusas came out hot! And fresh. Let me say ive been to various pupuserias like in wheaton, langley park but this one in my opinion topped them off. That said i can only say that for the pupusas. The burrito were ok since they went heavy on the rice.“
“This place is a hidden gem. Inexpensive, authentic, and delicious Latin American food. The pupusas and tacos are great. There are other things on the menu but I’ve never tried them, because once you’ve tried the pupusas and tacos it’s hard to order anything else.“
“Got one tongue taco and one chorizo taco, both came with chips and salsa.Only that the amount was one tortilla per taco. The picture shows my purchase of $8.50 for the two tacos. The menu shows three tacos per order. You would need to pay for three tacos or $12 for what is shown on the menu. A bit pricey.Other places I would get 3 tortillas per one order of a taco.“
“Can't decide between tacos or pupusas? Get both! Elvira's is the spot. Service is quick and the food is authentic. The pupusas were hot and packed nicely, so they traveled well. Others in my party got a bunch of different tacos- carnitas, chicken and a few others and everyone loved them! Will definitely be back.“
