“Ended up here after several other places had closed their outside seating due to heat and we had our dog. How lucky were we that we were forced to try Scuttlebutt. The food was excellent, the beer options adequate and the service was great. The outside seating area was well shaded and they had several very large fans that kept the air moving and despite the temperature we were comfortable outside. We’re glad we came and we’ll be back.”

“Olde Town Pub We have always loved The Pub, so since we were getting married down the street, we decided we wanted to have our rehearsal dinner here. The staff gave us the entire outside area on the left. We were catered to, taken care of, and fed with amazing food. The wings are always delicious, the drinks are consistently rotating to try new beers, and the staff is always kind and helpful. You can’t go wrong going here for any reason!”

“I hate that they close during winter. I found this place online on a fluke and me, my husband and friends go all summer long. I've read prior opinions and every restaurant has a hiccup or bad day from time to time with help or ability to replenish product. It's beautiful there on the water, watching birds dive for fish or sailboats in and out of the cove. The breeze blows as you eat and toast your friends with a great cocktail. I give a ten-plus for this treasure to visit. If you haven't been there, you're doing yourself an injustice. Fitzies, Leonardtown, high five!”

“I attended a silent reading event with a couple of friends. We had a great time! Inside is so cozy, but make sure to bring a jacket because it's cold! Not complaining! I'd much rather be cold and I feel like a lot of businesses end up being too warm, especially when there's a lot of people.

The staff was very friendly. My friends both ordered pizzas and they really enjoyed them. We also shared a small charcuterie board. The fruit was so fresh and sweet, the cheese and crackers were perfect. No complaints.

The vibes here are good, comfortable, and happy. My only complaint is the event we attended wasn't an actual Facebook event, just a post on their page. There were no reminders or anything, so I almost forgot about it! With that being said, I'll definitely be attending more events here. Hopefully they set reminders for them in the future!”

“I got take out for the first time since I moved to Leonardtown. I have eaten in a few times prior and it was great. But when I ordered take out, I got home and the cup with the salsa for the chips lid had come off and it was all over everything. I can eat spicy salsas due to having throat cancer. So I stopped by the next day and the manager was very nice,and all I really wanted was to get a dish with the lettuce and tomatos and sour cream because after I wiped as much of the salsa off the seafood chimichangas the rice and other toppings were no good. I didn't even have the chance to ask if I could just get some lettuce, tomatoes and sour cream, they had put in a order for replacing the entire dinner. That's great customer service, which the last few years is almost extinct. I was very impressed.”

“The Ironwood is the restaurant/pub attached to the Breton Bay Country Club golf course. I'd call it a pub in the sense that it's more of the family and friend meeting place than a country club restaurant. We've been down there for years as they host the community Christmas tree lighting where Santa visits to throw the switch and visit with all of the neighborhood kids. Food is standard pub fare with some more deli style sandwiches and service is perfect. If the Ironwood comes back as an option when you search restaurants, don't ignore it. You'll love, especially in the warmer months, the chance to eat outside with a view of the golfers wasting all of their good swings on the driving range.”

“Swan Point is a great golf course, but currently the VAST majority of its greens are in REALLY BAD shape. It makes trying to actually play and score on the course almost impossible. It wouldn't be that bad, except no one mentions anything about this during registration, etc.”
