Went to Cakes in the City when my boss needed a large sheet cake for his mom's surprise party - Cassaundra was amazing at making the design requests come to life and my boss swears it's the best cake he's ever had :) highly recommend for anyone looking for friendly, efficient, and caring service in the DMV area!!
Definitely worth a visit. I order a Red Velvet Cake as a Christmas gift for a friend's special family Christmas dinner. The counter person ( I am assuming was the owner) was so very pleasant and helpful. She went over the various options and prices in detail and presented herself in a courteous, professional manner. The Cake was a big hit, it was enjoyed by everyone at the Christmas gathering. The unanimous comment was, it is so moist and delicious. I will definitely revisit soon....read full review

The Banana Pudding Dream is incredible. This boutique pastry shop is a treat to visit and I hear coffee is coming soon. Cassaundra can also make custom cakes with images and creative designs.
