i love this market and feel pretty safe in regardless of the area. At this day and time all areas are dangerous so take a chance and come get your eat on. i love the cold cuts from ronnies but my favorite is the fish from Jackpot seafood where you pick it, they clean it and fry it.
This place is located in the E Monument Street market. Finding your way to it is part of the fun, winding around all the stalls and seeing what's being offered. It's not gentrified yet, so don't expect artisanal honey, but instead enjoy not having to pay 5 bucks for a tomato. But, you're not here grocery shopping, so keep moving to Mr. Sausage.
