True Chesapeake is one of those places that you hope continues to thrive in this rocky economy! I love that they feature Maryland invasive species on their menu like blue catfish and snakehead and are delicious! I had to move away from Baltimore for work but I visit True Chesapeake whenever I am in town because I miss their oysters, their blue crab mac & cheese, and all the seasonal items chef Zack has on the menu. Truly a gem!
Came here for a date night with my husband. Great service! Maddy? Was excellent and really cared for us well. Food was okay. We had the restaurant’s own oysters which were good and fresh. I had the mussels as my main which was a huge disappointment. I chose the white wine and garlic sauce and it was more-so salty water having a similar appearance to dish water. We had a delicious dinner tapa style and fantastic wine. It was a great double date outside on the creek. The blue crab bone marrow is our #1 favorite item on the menu. We also came for a holiday dinner with old neighbors last year and had a fantastic time with amazing food and atmosphere. The very first time, my fiancé and I came for date night. The setting is versatile to date night, small group, or a larger party.
