“This is very strange for me to do. I don’t normally leave reviews, nor would I take a review into consideration for a chain ice cream shop for deciding whether or not to buy ice cream in the middle of the day on a summer day. But, I just think that credit is needed where it is earned.

In a world where tipping for sub-par service is the expectation, I appreciate my experience today at this little ice cream shop on a rainy afternoon. I tipped almost the entire cost of my order just because I was greeted with GENUINE smiles and a Hello. My order was taken quickly, but not in an hurried and awkward rushed manner, and was handled with care. I asked for the largest size ice cream cup and extra Heath. Not only did I get exactly what I asked for but the employee also sprinkled a little bit of Heath on top. He placed a top on my ice cream in case I wanted to save some for later and then THOROUGHLY wiped off my cup before putting it in a bag with a spoon and napkins, without me asking. I think today we have such a self service mindset with the expectation of tipping for full service that it caught me off guard. He handed me the bag and again, genuinely, told me to have a great day. With a smile and eye contact.

Now, I know exactly what you’re thinking. Nope. He, nor I, was not flirting. Neither one of us was particularly attractive (sorry if he is reading this but hey man, I’m taking a hit on the physical attraction spectrum in this comment here too). I’m not paid for this review. I’m not an influencer, nor do I even know how to do that. I don’t even have the self esteem to make my husband pay for my nails. So, there’s no hidden agenda here. I just genuinely appreciate being treated like a person and not a means to an end.

“Came into day in the last hour of the business day, Christi was present and such a delight to met and speak with. Took time out of her busy schedule to just engage (personally I think she could use the break as well 💕💕.) We don’t know how she and her team are doing it with the huge influx of customers.
