“Food was excellent! We went on a Friday night and it wasn't very busy, but with a holiday weekend people may be out of town
Dishes were large, hot, and fresh. Only thing I wish was different was that there was an iPad for ordering. However, servers stopped by multiple times to check in.“

“Pork Soup dumplings were good. The scallion pancake was crispy. I forgot to take a picture because I was focused on enjoying the meal. I
wish there were more shrimp options but overall a good experience. I would like to come back to try other things from their menu“

“Their food is delicious, the soup dumplings are my favorite. Wish I was still living in the area so I could get there more often. ^^“

“Korean BBQ sandwich came out hot and with fresh toppings pretty quickly after I ordered. But it was a bit bland, I wish it had more flavor. The payment system is a little confusing, order food on one, then take the receipt over to pay and then you have to use a different system to order drinks. But staff is very friendly and helpful.“

“I’m only half-way through my meal and the service and food is so great that I felt the need to write a review. Seriously one of the best tasting Chinese restaurants that I have been to in Virginia and DC. It is very cozy in here too. I got the hot and sour soup, kung pao tofu, vegetable lo mein, and hot green tea. Shirley C took great care of me and the owner came out as well. Very welcoming.“

“Nestled in a cozy corner, this small yet popular Chinese restaurant offers an authentic Shanghainese dining experience. Our warm and friendly host, Winnie, greeted us with a smile. She proudly informed us that all dishes are crafted by Shanghainese staff, including herself, ensuring the utmost authenticity.
Our culinary journey began with the delectable Soup Dumplings. These homemade dumplings were generously filled, each bite bursting with flavor. We savored eight dumplings per order, leaving us craving more.
Next, we indulged in the Sautéed Fish Fillet in Wine Sauce. While the fish was cooked to perfection, the wine sauce was a bit lacking. Winnie kindly acknowledged this and offered us extra sauce, accommodating our preferences.
To conclude our meal, we couldn’t resist the irresistible Biscuit Stuffed with Pine Nuts and Red Bean Paste. This must-order dessert was a delightful surprise—not too sweet and bursting with the delightful flavors of pine nuts and red bean paste.
Overall, our dining experience at this charming Chinese restaurant was truly memorable. Winnie’s warm hospitality, the authentic Shanghainese cuisine, and the delectable desserts made it a delightful culinary adventure.“

I remember hearing about the lines to eat here so get take out“
