The service was awful; the sushi was luke warm and took forever; the place is minimal. A far cry from the old Tako Grill. Too bad.

High quality food, service, and setting. Highly recommend the toro, maguro, and chicken teriyaki don bowl.I also really appreciate that the water cup is a full sized 24oz cup.To top it all off, some miso soup to conclude lunch rounded out an excellent experience. Grateful I stopped by and will come back several more times!
Excellent sushi and great service. Best in the area

This place is great! I was in the area for a few days and picked this place to eat on a whim because it looked interesting. It was a really pleasant surprise. The food was very tasty and very authentic. This isn't a "fusion" place, you get real Japanese food here. I got the karaage chicken bento box and everything was delicious. The fried chicken was very juicy and crispy on the outside.Service was great as well, everyone was really nice. They have a small selection of snacks and home goods so you can pick up some goodies after you're done eating. Would definitely come back if I am ever in the area again and definitely recommend it.

I only have good things to say about this store. The Japanese lady who owns this place is so sweet. The place has a good selection of authentic Japanese snacks. Most of all, the food here is very authentic. The fish is fresh, Udon and ramens are so tasty and the tempura shrimp and vegetables are so light and tasty without being greasy of any kind. In short, this place is authentic and the atmosphere is relatively pleasant.

My friend and I enjoyed lunch here. She had the Pork Donburi bowl, which she said was a bit above average. I had the small miso soup, which included 6 pieces of tofu and was quite mild, and the bento box which included 6 pieces of fire cracker roll, 4 pieces of sushi and an excellent seaweed salad. The fire cracker roll was only slightly spicy, the wasabi paste was spicier. The eat-in tables are just large wood tables with old fashioned chairs, but the place includes a small but complete Japanese market.

I really like their service and the small set of Japanese groceries you can buy while you wait for your food. In my humble option, they have the best avocado maki this side of bethesda! Agadashi tofu was ok as was the udon soup. But I’d def eat here many times over!
Had lunch here with my son and it was great! Rolls were perfect texture, nicely presented, and very tasty - my son really liked the salmon California roll. The Bento box was delicious and just the right amount of food. Service was quick and polite. Highly recommend!

Fantastic takeout and a small grocery store with a great selection of Japanese beers, snacks, and staples like rice, noodles, and miso! The hours are a bit limited to lunch and dinner hours but the service is really polite. Sooo happy I found this place :)

Amazing sukiyaki! Been searching for somewhere in Bethesda that serves this, and I have found my new go-to place! Good service, really delicious sukiyaki that was a portion size for 2.
