I had a lovely dinner at Jimmie & Sook's this past Saturday. The single-fried oysters were delectable with just the perfect flash-fried touch. The whipped potatoes were creamy and tasty. And the vegetables really blew me away. I'm not sure how they were prepared exactly, but the zucchini and squash had a deep complex almost smoky taste that easily made them the best I'd ever had. Stopped for a first visit. Recommended by a friend. Choose today's special. A fried cod sandwich. I was informed it was breaded on sight and was fresh. It was far from it. Preformed sticks of unknown species of fish. Very disappointed.

The food was good but the lunch menu was limited. The crab cake sandwich was amazing! The crab bread bowl was really good but most of the bread was tough and chewy. The booths on the bar side are set high up and the backing of the booth seats were uncomfortable to sit in. Overall it was good. We’ve eaten here numerous times and have always enjoyed the fine food and dining.
