“The Truffle Tori Shio Ramen was the best ramen I've ever had, hands down! The food here is delicious. I gave 4/5 stars for service because I think it's a bit presumptuous for a restaurant to expect 20% tip for a restaurant that literally doesn't have full table service -- I went for lunch and ordered and paid on my phone. I recall they say 20% will be added if you don't tip, and when you do tip the recommended amounts are 20%, 25%, and 30%.“

“A definite Tokyo Ramen shop vibe with a great staff and amazing food. Tonkotsu Ramen is rich, flavorful, with huge slices of pork and all the toppings you could want. The fries are crispy and the mayo with them is amazing, and the soft shell crab is cooked perfectly and isn’t heavy even though it’s fried. It’s a great little shop and if you want really good ramen quick, you won’t do much better and you won’t be disappointed“

“This is now my absolute favorite place for ramen, sushi and food in general in DC. Their care and attention to presentation and taste are top tier. Quality was consistent to my previous order and taste was NOT compromised as takeout. The food was just as great as if I ate in restaurant. I highly recommend! The food is delicious!“

“This place has definitely improved. It use to smell really bad but that has changed. The menu changed and for the better. The popcorn chicken is really good, as well as the orange and fish! The friend rice isn’t great. The mango chicken has way too much sauce. Regardless, I would definitely recommend this place.“

“I recently dined at Toryumon Japanese House in DC, and it was a memorable experience in every way. Tucked downstairs with moody, dim lighting, Toryumon strikes a balance between intimate and modern, creating a cozy ambiance that sets the perfect tone for a night out. We arrived on a bustling Saturday night without a reservation, but to my surprise, we were seated quickly—something I didn’t expect for a group of seven!
Our server was attentive and friendly, keeping our water glasses full and checking in just the right amount. To kick off, we ordered a variety of appetizers to get a feel for the flavors. The bao buns stood out with their freshness, soft texture, and perfect bite—definitely a must-try. We also got the kaki fry, which were beautifully crispy oysters with just the right touch of spicy mayo, elevating each bite without overwhelming the seafood's natural flavor. I’d come back just for these.
For the mains, we all dove into the ramen, and I personally opted for the Ajitama ramen. The broth was unbelievably rich and flavorful, with chashu that practically melted in my mouth. This was definitely a highlight, packed with depth and that traditional umami kick. I also tried a bit of the Fantastic sushi roll, and true to its name, it was quite fantastic, with a generous mix of tuna, salmon, and yellowtail. The honey b roll, filled with crab, salmon, and avocado, was another standout—each ingredient fresh and perfectly paired with a hint of honey that added a unique, sweet note.
One of my friends tried the lychee martini, which was strong yet refreshingly sweet, and paired well with the spicy ramen. I was tempted to try more from the cocktail menu, especially since each drink seemed thoughtfully crafted to match the Japanese flavors.
For anyone exploring the city, Toryumon is a spot worth checking out. And while you’re in the neighborhood, be sure to swing by Pull Up DC as well, where the vibe keeps going long after dinner’s done! Toryumon has definitely earned a spot on my list of DC favorites, and I can't wait to return.“

“How does this place only have 4 stars? Do you all have covid still? Best sushi in town for the price point, even if they're not so used to customer service or the place isn't made for a nice sit down experience (it's Western Market, which is a great upscale food court worth going out of your way for).“

“We tried this restaurant for the first time today using Uber Eats and we really enjoyed our meals. We got the fried chicken bun, Tonkotsu ramen and chicken stir fry ramen. Our food tasted great and we really appreciated that our food was delivered in their insulated bag which kept our meals warm. Will order again in the future.“
