“Such a superb dining experience. I was solo so sat at bar and my waiter went above and beyond with exceptional wine and food knowledge and service. The food was subtle, creative and beautifully balanced. Everything just worked. I find US restaurants rarely have ambiance but Tail Up had great lighting even if dining room was fine but unremarkable. “First meal out I can remember in a very long time where nothing seemed rushed despite it being a 7:30 reservation. Ample time given and courteous service throughout. Our host Didier went to great lengths in making sure the order was what we wanted, indulged us and offered additional options and recommendations. It surpassed the already high expectations I was hoping for. We will be back!“

“We had a fantastic business lunch. Our server had a really good sense of when to stop by and ask us if we want to order drinks... when we want to order our dishes, etc. It is quite a gift. You don't want to feel like you're interrupting an important conversation. But you also don't want your guests sitting there asking - when is this guy going to take our order?!?! It was a perfect lunch at the best restaurant in Washington. Thanks to all who made it very special!“

“This place is perfect. The food is 10 out of ten. We got the butter chicken and lamb chops and both are very good and their garlic naan is so good as well. The vibes and the atmosphere is a different level, the lights and the decorations are outstanding. And the staff are amazing, very friendly, and very helpful. Overall, I admired this place!!“

“We celebrated our 12th year wedding anniversary here, and it was the most amazing dinner. The atmosphere, the attention to detail, and the diligence of the staff (especially Michael and Devon). We laughed all night long. We also had the honor of meeting the humble Chef Danny Lledó, who curated the AMAZING 10-course meal and wine pairing. Can we talk about how delicious the food is? The BEST ever. We ended the evening with Paulina in the mezzanine. Perfect finish. We cannot thank the chef and staff enough. We will not forget this experience. We can’t wait to come back.“

“Visited Philippe's this past Saturday night and was immediately greeted with such warmth. Andrea made my old fashion to perfection and she was willing to help with anything we needed. We didn't want much to eat so we just got the calamari 9/10, the veggie lettuce wrap 9/10 and the beef lettuce wrap 10/10. When Andrea left for the night, Ponce picked up right where she left off and took great care of us. We later sparked a conversation of the manager George and Sadi, who were both very welcoming. I look forward to more late nights, happy hours and dinners with the girls here at Philippe's at the Wharf!“
