“I just have to share the fantastic experience we had tonight. My husband and I went to The Local around 6:30 pm (prime time without reservations lol). The only available seats were a high top table in the bar area. They asked us if that was ok and we said “sure”. Within a minute or so after being seated, it became apparent that our vision of a nice relaxing dinner would be impossible in that room. The Preakness was about to begin, and that bar was loud and hopping! Don’t get me wrong, I’m not complaining, I love to see people enjoying themselves. It was a party, but just wasn’t our vibe tonight. We decided we would go elsewhere. We politely informed the hostess that we were going to leave because it was just a tad too noisy, but that we would definitely return again soon. We stressed that we were not mad, or upset. As we were walking to our car, a very nice gentleman followed us out and asked if we would consider returning if they could sit us elsewhere. We said “Of course!” We didn’t think there were any other available tables, but he said they would work something out for us. We told him we didn’t expect them to go out of their way for us and that we could wait. Within five minutes, we were seated at a lovely table in the dining room. We later learned the gentleman that helped us was none other than the owner/ executive chef Zack. We went on to have a delicious dinner with the most attentive and charming server. They demonstrated exemplary customer service, which sadly is lacking in many other establishments. We weren’t expecting any special treatment, but they certainly went above and beyond for us, and it was very much appreciated! When we were leaving, Zack happened to be outside, so he made sure to ask how our experience was. We told him it was amazing, and that his restaurant has been one of our favorites since it opened. We told him we would be back soon. Our experience there tonight is just one of many examples why this restaurant stands out, and why we will always highly recommend them! Thank you all so much for proving customer service is not a dying art!”

“Last night the girls and I went out for dinner and let me tell you!! From the moment we walked in the establishment was nice and clean. The gentleman taking the our order was very respectful and polite. I ordered my food first and by the time I sat my stuff down to go get my drink. By the time I was done making my drink my food had already been placed on my table! The food came out super quick! We had ordered dessert as well the lady didn't rush to bring it out. She checked with us and offered to bring it out after we were close to being done with our food! (Those Nutella knots!!!!) The owner just happened to stop on a night off by but he noticed a birthday party. He was very sweet and came to thank the girl for celebrating her birthday at this establishment and sang her happy birthday! I'm sure he is a very busy man but he took the time to show he cared and was thankful which was amazing! When we stepped outside we were attempting to take our group photo and the owner noticed us and ran right up to us and offered to take the picture. We then had a great 20 minute conversation letting him know how much we enjoyed our food and engaged in friendly conversations! He was very sweet and very friendly to talk to! I have never met an owner so willing to just stop and engage in conversation with multiple of his patrons! We will be back very soon! You should visit as well you will not be disappointed!”

“The crab dip is amazing, big hunks of crab and so creamy! The seafood platter is so worth the price. The waitress Brooke is awesome and has such a great sense of humor, she was the best! The owner even came to the table to ask how things were. We live in Dundalk and it is so worth the drive. Oh and the deserts are so good too! Great prices, great staff and great atmosphere!”

“I went to this place after months of thinking about it. I ordered the detroit style pan pizza with pepperoni and extra cheese. And it was freakin delicious. Stays consistent a day later even after reheating. A little pricey though. If i could get a half of detroit pan pizza i would prefer that. Just in case i dont need to feed a whole family.”

“At a recent visit, we ordered the Family #3 (1 whole rotisserie chicken plus 2 Large sides). The chicken was amazing, it's definitely enough for 4 people.; The large size of the sides was enormous & enough for 4 people. The fired plantain side had 15 pieces of plantain in it.”

“I normally never post reviews but those location deserves my top star rating! We ordered online but there was no option to get pepperoni on the topping online so we ordered a cheese pizza. We called them to ask if they could add it on and they said the pizza was already half way done...we settled for a cheese pizza. But as we received the pizza the apparently took the time to make it a pepperoni! Was a shock and a blessing...will definitely be hitting this spot up more often!”

I had chicken penne pasta (create your own) and my boyfriend had pepperoni pizza. The pasta was bland but nothing that I couldn't fix up at home with some cajun seasoning and red pepper flakes. However, my boyfriend enjoyed the pizza. I would've rated the food about a 3.5 but since my boyfriend enjoyed his pizza, it was bumped to 4 stars.

I would possibly visit this place again in the future to give it another shot but I would opt for something other than the pasta next time.”

“Broom’s Bloom Dairy is such a special place! It’s a family-run gem that offers some of the best homemade ice cream around, along with light café fare that’s always fresh and delicious. They also sell local beef, pork, lamb, chicken, cheese, and milk—perfect for supporting local farms and bringing home quality products. One of my favorite parts is the beautiful sunflower field in the summer—it’s the perfect spot to take photos and just enjoy the scenery. Highly recommend stopping by for a treat and some fresh air!”

“The Power Lunch Specials menu is a bargain at $17.77. The Meatballs & Polenta are excellent. This is 3/4 of the normal lunch menu portion, but is very tasty & extremely filling. The fried calamari is heavy in batter & needs all the lemon juice you can squeeze onto it. The dipping sauces have a lot of hot peppers in them, & are both really spicy. Penne Caprese is fresh & tasty. lovely lunch. Unfortunately, portion sizes vary from day to day. Ask for a full portion. Fettucine Genovese is extremely flavorful. The rich flavor of the cheese enhances the braised beef--a good dish. The coffee had a nice flavor but was watery. It would be much better if they used more coffee.”
