“Glynis and the entire team at Catering by Seasons went above and beyond to make our celebration like no other. From the menu selection to the tasting they made thoughtful suggestions and listened to our preferences and requests. Menu items were inspired, creative, and most importantly beyond delicious. On the day of, the passed hors d'oeuvres were presented beautifully and a hit with our guests. The stations and plated meals received raves, as did the desserts. We could not be more thrilled and would recommend Catering by Seasons enthusiastically.“

“Best Wedding Food EVER!! Delicious, gorgeous, impeccable service! We hired Corcoran for our catering, alcohol, wedding cake, and all of our rentals. They built the most incredible menu for us and the food was the most delicious wedding food I have ever tasted! Everyone at our wedding was blown away by both the food and the service. Emelie is a dream to work with and was so responsive to changes and questions. She sought out rentals to ensure my exact vision came to life. Her team is amazing and everyone who was on site was so friendly, helpful, and professional. I cannot say enough good things about Corcoran! If you are considering the as your caterer - DO IT! You cannot go wrong! Emelie went above and beyond to honor our requests. “We got married on Friday, December 13th 2024 at The Cloisters Castle and we could not be more pleased with our decision to hire Putting on the Ritz as our caterer. They were heavily involved from the early planning stages until the event to make sure all our needs were met and to make sure our event went off with no issues. We had a ton of compliments around how good the food was, and we were just super happy with everything. I highly recommend splurging a little extra for the hot chocolate/cider bar, especially if you're getting married in the colder months - this was the highlight of the event! They even accommodated my special cocktail request. We just loved working with them and they were amazing in every way - no complaints at all, everything went smoothly and the food was delicious!“

“Shout out to Big Moe's Catering!! They catered our work luncheon, with all of the Covid protocols that made it much easier for us. Each staff member had individual meals with a dessert. The turkey wings, fried chicken, salmon, pork chops, masked potato's, greens, string beans, and mac n cheese were delicious. Every one had an empty container. The food was delivered on time and the communication was excellent. I would order from them again.“

“We love Washington DC so my wife and I wanted some pizza. We were staying at the Embassy suites in NW so I googled pizza that was close by. Pizzoli‘s pizzeria came up. It looked good so we took an Uber there and the pizza was excellent. We ordered a simple pepperoni pizza and my wife and I both thoroughly enjoyed it. Made from scratch good. We were a little bit surprised in that it was a smaller establishment as we thought we were going to a place that had lots of tables, etc. This place has one inside table and five or six countertops to eat at and then they have several tables outside but as noted, the food was fantastic. Would certainly recommended, and we will be back home future visits.“

“Miriame and her team at Chez Yiamme catered my micro-wedding a few months ago and they did an excellent job. Miriame was friendly, accommodating, and professional during the planning stages. She was extremely responsive throughout and had great solutions to ensure the food was delivered safely to our guests. She and her team ended up preparing individual food boxes for our guests to enjoy. And enjoy it they did! We received such positive feedback from everyone about how delicious the food was, how creative the packaging was, and how friendly the staff was. The food really brought joy to everyone. It was a pleasure working with Chez Yiamme and I’m already dreaming up excuses to use their services again in the future. “We used Susan Gage in the spring for our firms anniversary dinner/event and it was amazing! We started planning in the late fall, and everything came together smoothly and it was super easy to communicate with the team— even as I had not planned an event like this before. I loved the personalization of not only the menus, but of the table settings and linens inspired by our firm and our event venue. Ann Ashley was our main contact, and we also communicated with Dakota Poe— they were awesome. The food was phenomenal. Sometimes I still think about it. :)

“Catering by Uptown was our caterer/vendor for a wedding at the Torpedo Factory Art Center. The had an hour and a half to set up all the furniture for the ceremony and reception and the mobile kitchen. They pulled it all off seamlessly! I had two day-of coordinators to help orchestrate the day and they both were so sweet and thoughtful. Ya-Maila was detailed and quick on her feet, and the kitchen manager (didn't catch her name) was so kind and thoughtful.They went above and beyond to make our special day run so smoothly, it was really magical thanks to them!“

“I was very excited to actually visit Flavorture as they have catered my golf group's tournament committee dinner for the past 2 years. One of my A1s also had this on her list of restaurants, so we went here for dinner to kick off her forty-fine birthday weekend celebration. We had reservations for 9:30 for a party of 6, but ended up only being 5 as 1 had an emergency. So let's start off there's a $20 pp reservation deposit. I know many restaurants were doing that during COVID, but I thought that had ceased. Wasn't a big deal, but something that should be noted. Though I gave it 4 stars, it is hands down the best black owned restaurant I have visited in the DMV in a VERY long time. Customer service can make or break a restaurant and the customer service was impeccable on every level possible.
Our server, Christine was very pleasant and answered all of our questions. We started with drinks (3 lemon drops w/Tito's, (they were out of lychee for the lychee martini) hot tea and blackberry mint mojito mocktail. We also ordered house bread and mussels for apps. At this point, everyone is pleased.
It's vegetarian and dry January for me, so I ordered the vegan egg rolls and kale Caesar salad as my entree. The rest of the ladies ordered the stuffed chicken breast, lamb chops, lobster & crab scampi, and branzino with sides of mac & cheese and broccolini. There was an order placed for the mashed potatoes, however, it wasn't enough for a full order as the sides should serve 2-3. I believe the birthday girl asked if they could be served anyway. Entrees began to come @ 10:40, kitchen closes at 11. The presentation of all the dishes is beautiful and camera ready, which is great as we eat with our eyes first. Looks can be deceiving. The egg rolls were over salted to the point they were inedible. The stuffed chicken was cold and the lambchops were overcooked. The branzino and scampi were both hot and as delicious as they looked. The food didn't come all at once. The egg rolls, branzino, lambchops, broccolini and 1 order of mac & cheese came first. Then the chicken, mashed potatoes and kale salad. Next the scampi and then 5-7 minutes later the last mac & cheese. As runners were bringing the food, we needed to wait for Christine. While waiting for the scampi, we told Christine about the cold chicken, overcooked lambchops and salty egg rolls. The chicken was the first thing to come back. It was the same piece of chicken reheated and topped with more cheese. All of my servsafe training kicked in. We waited a few minutes and then I got up and asked to speak to a manager. This is where great customer service comes in. Milton had just sat down to eat, but very graciously got up to speak with me. We thought it was microved due to how quickly it came back, but he assured me they didn't have microwaves and it had been placed in the oven, but would have a new one made for us. He immediately sent Christine to get the plate. She assumed it was fresh and not reheated. She returned with the scampi, then the medium well lambchops, then the fresh chicken and finally the other order of mac & cheese. By the time all the food came, it was well past 11 and the kitchen was closed. 15-20 minutes later she was able to find a dessert for the birthday girl. As we were packing up the leftovers, a gentleman came out from the kitchen to greet us. He never told us who he was but did hint to being an owner or part owner. He asked about our experience and what could be improved. He chatted with us for at least 10 minutes and bought shots for the birthday girl tables (there was another table celebrating as well). Though they were trying to close, they didn't rush us out, even allowed the birthday girl to have a mini photo shoot in the bar area.
I will definitely come back and recommend they teach others about what good customer service in the hospitality industry looks like.“

“I recently celebrated my service to the nation. I opted to use Patton Hall for convenience, accessibility, parking, and overall space. The Pentagon would have been too impersonal. Helena was tremendously helpful through the process. She provided advice on the room setup, quickly made adjustments to meet my needs, and made me confident that I would not have to worry about the venue. The staff were friendly. attentive, and helpful on the day of the event. And the food was great. I wish I could have eaten more but had to attend to my guests. Bottom line, I did not have to worry about the event; Five-star Catering and the Patton Hall staff made that part very easy for me.“
“There are no gluten free options on the menu. The very friendly staff very kindly created a Philly Cheese Steak plate so I could avoid eating the bun. It was delicious and included the lettuce, tomatoes, and mayo as a side plate so I could add them at my discretion. I highly recommend Sam's Kitchen!“

“Absolutely phenomenal, We utilize their catering services one of them at church that I help plan. I learned that they have a lot of different varieties on their Canoe menu but has not just the Peruvian chicken that we all know from the chain restaurant Sardis. Their catering service is a very efficient and their food was delicious.“
