“Dining at Albi was a special experience. We were lucky enough to book the Hearth table and watched the kitchen interact and prepare the food. The warmth and hospitality of the staff, not just with the diners, but with each other was sincerely heartwarming. Every dish was amazing and there was not a single thing we disliked. My personal favorites were the crab, dates and lamb with cinnamon. This is probably one of my favorite Michelin experiences and Albi deserves all the accolades given to it and more.

Edit to add: they had the best morning after goodie bag of all the Michelin restaurants!“

“I enjoyed the green zone, it had me flying high. Flying high when I tried their coffee drink. There was so much in it I don’t even know what to call it, but look at the picture, it looks delicious. I payed a pretty penny for it too, but pennies I got. This place cost a lot of green so bring your wallet, credit card too. Have fun, it’s good (at least their coffee drink is).“

“I tried the kabob platter at Kabul Castle Kabob and it was a great Afghan meal. The rice was fluffy and flavorful, topped with sweet carrots and raisins. The kabobs were tender and nicely grilled, especially the chicken which was juicy and well seasoned. The meal also came with fresh bread, a crispy samosa, chickpeas, sabzi, and a fresh salad, which made the plate feel complete. The portions were generous, the quality was high, and the price was very reasonable for the quantity you get. A very satisfying and authentic Afghan meal.“

“I am a total hummus snob. You can ask my friends. I only eat hummus from restaurants because they seem to be the only ones that can make it right and with the consistency that is smooth and a little thinner. Every store bought hummus I have tried has been a thick paste and it doesn’t even feel like hummus. Until now. I am a total convert and very excited. Consistency is everything in hummus and Little Sesame has figured out how to do it and put it into a container that is sold at a store. Kudos. I love it.“

“Dude, hidden gem. I've been to this area a few times and only saw the back door. It looked like a dive but I had a hankerin for a gyro. Went in and wow! The wonderful smells of the food hit you right away. The Indian food buffet was awesome, sooooo good. Dude made the naan right in front of me, it was awesome. Next time i'm back I'll definitely be passing by here for Indian food and maybe a gyro!“

It's one of the top food places in Silver Spring without a doubt. I love this style of food, it's so good. It used to be hard to find this type of halal food in the area before they opened.
