As I reflect on my time at the University of Maryland, I can't help but smile thinking about The Rendezvous Inn, affectionately known to us all as "The 'Vous." What began as your father's business has, under your stewardship, become an integral part of the UMD experience for generations of students.

For over 60 years, you and your family have been more than just business owners – you've been a friend, a confidant, and a constant presence in our lives. The 'Vous, now Cornerstone Grill, has been our sanctuary. It's where we've shared beers, laughter, and those nervous first dates. It's where friendships were forged and memories were made that will last a lifetime.

Your dedication to preserving the spirit of The 'Vous while evolving with the times is commendable. You've taken your father's legacy and built upon it, creating a place that feels both timeless and fresh. The fact that Cornerstone Grill continues to be a beloved spot for students and alumni alike is a testament to your hard work and vision.

To my Theta Chi brothers and me, you've been more than just the owner of our favorite hangout. You've been a friend and a supporter through the years. Your continued connection to us long after our graduation speaks volumes about your character and the genuine relationships you've built with your patrons.

Mark, thank you for the countless nights of fun, the sense of community you've fostered, and for keeping the spirit of The 'Vous alive all these years. Here's to you, to The 'Vous, to Cornerstone Grill, and to 60+ amazing years of being the heart of the UMD social scene.

“While traveling the last 6 years in an RV throughout the USA and Canada I must admit....this is one of the best BWW 's that we have been to. Clean and very welcoming. Great bartender. Extremely observent of any one in the bar area. This girl is always on her game. I've never been a big fan of the boneless wings but these were perfectly done. Not over or under cooked. Just the right amount of breading and the "limited time only" Buffalo Bleu sauce was amazing. Of course the Parmesan Garlic was excellent. My wife had an excellent Buffalo Chicken salad. Half of that went home for lunch the next day. I asked for the manager, Beverly, before leaving....she is probably the most appreciative and concerned manager we've ever met. Great job to the staff!!“

“This place is really great. There are competitions and lessons for seasoned players, but it’s also a great place for a date or a group of people with mixed levels of skill. The staff is incredibly nice and welcoming and it’s also family friendly (thank you for having a changing table in the bathroom!) This is the kind of business you want to support. I wish I could come more often!“

“The Sunday brunch menu was sublimely delicious with satisfying portions. (The French Toast will change your life!) The staff was engaged and courteous and the restaurant itself presents even better than the photos on the website. I look forward to returning again soon. Well done!“

“This is an ideal place to relax, drink, and chat. It's also a small business with a lot of friendly regulars. It's also an Ohio bar. The food is solid, but the atmosphere is really the draw. The person who is serving you or working in the kitchen is highly likely to be the owner.“

“Very nice sports bar with 5 large screens. Saw the bartender put one of the football games on the TV for a patron. Had the parmesan garlic wings and margherita pizza and both were phenomenal. Staff were cool and personable and attentive. Draft selection was about half what they had on the menu but not a problem.“
