I have been eating at this restaurant for around 30 years. The owners are wonderful, the food is wonderful. My whole family gets their Italian food, and they make my favorite cheesesteak. Small dining area, we usually take out and eat near the river.“

We found this place completely by accident.

We had driven to Perryville to pick up an online Ikea order from the nearby warehouse, and needed somewhere to eat while we were in the area.

I was not expecting anything special.

Then the food came out.

My wife suggested ordering the meatballs as an appetizer, and I am so glad she did.

They were clearly homemade.

Tender. Flavorful. Fall-apart good.

And the sauce was excellent.

Not bland… Not watery.

Not “generic pizza place red sauce.”

It tasted like someone's grandma was cooking in the back and actually cared.

Then came the pizza, which was just as impressive.

The crust was thin, crisp, and beautifully done.

The kind of crust that actually snaps a little when you fold it.

That is my kind of pizza. Just like in New York City.

What made the whole thing even better was how unexpected it was.

We were not on some carefully planned food trip.

We were not going out of our way because someone told us this place was famous.

We just happened to stop in because we were nearby.

And somehow we ended up having one of those meals you keep thinking about long after the fact.

It has been almost a year since we were there, and I still remember how good those meatballs and that pizza were.

That says everything.

Definitely worth stopping in if you are in the area.

Honestly, based on our experience, it is worth the drive.

P.S. I wish I had photos of the amazing food, but before we realized it, we had eaten everything! Time to go back!“

“Hubby and I ( not too local) stopped by here to grab a quick bite on our way to get some crabs. I got the Italian cheesesteak and hubby got the mushroom cheesesteak and we shared an order of the stuffed grape leaves. Everything was fantastic! I loved the sauce they put on my cheesesteak! “Im from Chicago suburbs and we came to the Airville area for 9 days we are on day 4 and this is our second order placed. First was delivery and the food made it here warm and the driver was friendly. We got the veggie pizza and crab pretzel then next time cheese pizza and crab pretzel and crab cake. The pizza was absolutely delicious. I know my pizza, I can eat pizza 6 days a week and Mexican in the 7th day. I think the cheese pizza was the best, the spice is right. Cheese is cooked to perfection. Crust is fluffy and crispy. My husband loves seafood he is from Baltimore and he ordered 2 crab pretzels and I believe will be back again before we leave. My one and only complaint and it is a East Coast rival with Chicago their pizza is pie cut lol. Love Ma and Pas. Friendly and delicious.“

“My gluten free pasta in the baked ziti was very al dente. I would have preferred it not be crunchy but the flavor was delicious. I'm hopeful that when I reheat the left overs that it softens up a bit. Great choice for gluten free option. I also got the gluten-free pizza. Several of his employees have also been there for as long as we’ve been going. Is probably best to order in-person vice phone as place is often busy….which can result in misunderstandings or incorrect orders.“
