“As a server/ shift lead who works right down the street from here, you keep a certain moral around customers, even if you’re mad or upset with coworkers, you keep it low and out of customers reach. I’m not sure what the young shift leads problem was, but the cashier stepped away to help out someone getting pastries, I think the snarky/loud “it’s not your job” comment from the shift lead was unnecessary towards the cashier. You work as a team in a restaurant, whether the line is backed up or not, this place is always busy in the morning so to see someone helping someone else out in a place that isn’t theirs is a nice touch to see coming from a server, along with everyone else, no decent person is going to care if you have to step away from your post to help your coworker out for a minute. To the guy who even apologized for just helping out, you’re doing great!“
