My favorite small pizza chain is Mellow Mushroom (which is unfortunately nowhere near Eldersburg), but after trying Vocelli tonight I think it is a very close second. I really liked that we could order 1/2 & 1/2 gourmet pizzas, because I won't lie-- mac & cheese pizza sounds gross. But we ordered on a half to try it (other half buffalo chicken) and everyone loved it. The crust was chewey, but soft inside, which is my type of crust. We tried almost everything over four visits. (Had no issues with deliveries.) The pizza was amazing! And one of the few places to do a great white pizza with the "white garlic" sauce (I can't eat red sauce). The wings were very good. The salad was good. The desserts were good. The subs are fair. (Mine looked like someone wound up and threw the sub toppings at the bread, plus it was squished, and the bread was "meh.")
