We showed up with a DOUBLE DECKER tour bus and Ashlynn and Shannon were amazing. They had us in and out of there as quick as ever for a group our size! They handled things so professionally and politely, and were eager to please all of us. The ice cream and all of the other treats were delicious! There was not one complaint among any of us! We all got a group photo with Cowoline the Cow and everyone was raving about the place on the way home. Thank you, ladies, for making our evening!! “One of the most engaging breweries I've ever been in. Great staff, customers and relaxing atmosphere! Definitely worth your stop even if your only close to the area. Collectively the best group of crafted beers I've ever had! Rustic but very clean and bathrooms that would give some of the best hotels a run for their money! A variety of bands on the weekend too (Friday and Saturday). A very relaxing beer garden out back as well. This is definitely my go to brewery for the BEST crafted beers! They even have a setup out front to sit, talk and enjoy a good cigar or two. They even sell cigars too. While they don't generally serve food they do have caterers on Friday and Saturday night with some amazing chicken, brisket and pork over a delicious macaroni and cheese mix that is a meal in itself.“

“I love Spork. I actually was working in the area last year when I came across the place, and have been coming back every chance I get. Very good food and haven’t been disappointed yet. One complaint I will speak on, is one of the chef’s by the name of Jason; was very rude to the two young ladies that were taking orders the very last time I visited. I’m not sure if he was as having a bad day or what but he was very rude and did not need to speak to those young ladies that way. I’ll just leave it there. If you’re in the Elkton area, please try them out because their menu has a variety of different things!“

“This is an overall GREAT place! They have amazing beer, and awesome atmosphere, and very knowledgeable and friendly staff!

We love that they switch up their food trucks and also allow dogs and celebrate them on Sundays with Dog Day Sunday!

We enjoy the variety of beers they brew and the events they host and they have created a community. We have met some great friends here and always like to meet her to a Happy Hour, special event, or just because! High recommend checking them out!

They recommend a beer for you based on your preferences or the best is to get a flight and try a few different beers! I like to get a flight anytime they drop new beers, even if it isn’t generally a style beer I drink.“

“Despite living just 20 minutes from the brewery and being an avid beer lover, for whatever reason my husband and I hadn’t been to twisted irons. We decided to make a visit and then were kicking ourselves for not coming sooner! Often if you’re not a “regular” at these breweries you’re ignored, not here. The staff were amazing! They made us feel welcome, and made beer suggestions based on our style of beer choices. The beers were delicious and the vibes were vibin’. We left raving… until we noticed our card was charged for substantially more than we authorized. BUT! Literally within minutes of me contacting the bar, they sincerely apologized for the fat finger and refunded the money. I debated adding that little negative thing, but it’s important for others to know that despite making a mistake, how quickly they rectified it while also being so kind. I 10/10 recommend this brewery and cannot wait to return! Cheers!“

“We were visiting Newark for a furry convention nearby and my partner and I got stuck in a random hailstorm on our way to Chipotle down the street. We took cover in Home Grown and found out it's got a large selection of vegan selections, which was a surprise! We took the opportunity for a date and our server, Dana, was wonderful. They introduced us to the restaurant and gave us an overview of the menu, specials, and their favorite drink. We ended up ordering the Maple Barbecue seitan wings, the casserole style loaded fries, the seitan birria tacos, the winter mac, and Dana's favorite drink, the Bird by Bird. The drink was amazing and a perfect choice with all of the food being incredible. I wish there was one near where we live. What an absolutely wonderful date.“

Our waitress, Piper was phenomenal, .... friendly, accommodating, and very attentive. The food was perfectly portioned and all tasted great. The soft pretzel was wonderful. The Brussel Sprouts was excellent and the short ribs were tender and flavorful. The apple cider mule was a perfect drink to top it all off.“

They seem to maintain control over liquor sales in a part of Main Street at the intersection of Chapel which seems to be the worst in the City. “My daughter and son-in-law brought us to the Bayard House over the Christmas holidays 2024, and we were impressed-with the food, the service, the atmosphere, and the views! We wanted to do something special for our Army Captain daughter, Noella Rogers, when she promoted to Major yesterday. Remembering how much she and her husband, Jeff, love Bayard House, we called about getting a gift card. Chris Amon, (not sure of the spelling), Assistant General Manager, answered. When he told me that we'd have to come in and purchase it, I told him that we lived in Texas, so that wouldn't be possible. I was about to hang up, but Chris asked where my daughter lives. When I told him, he said that he lived close to her town and volunteered to hand-deliver it! Wow! He didn't have to do that! Not only did he hand-deliver it this morning, April 24th, he bought and placed it inside a card for her. Talk about going above the call of duty! Bayard House, hang onto Chris because that guy is gold! Everyone else, if you haven't tried it out yet, go get you something wonderful to eat at Bayard House! Chris, we look forward to thanking you in person the next time we come to Maryland for a visit!“

“Pretty standard pub food but well-executed. We came for their appetizers, which are especially good. The french onion soup was delicious. We also enjoyed the apple salad. We didn't order alcohol (it was like 2:30 PM , and we're not big drinkers).

Our meal ended up being a bit more expensive because we ordered four apps and split one entree, but it was a tasty and relaxing late lunch.

Service was great. The wait staff were exceptionally attentive and helpful, without being intrusive. We had a ton of little plates on the table to shuffle. They helped us manage it, bussed dishes quickly to make more space for us as we finished them, and were quick with drink refills.“
