On the day I was there a few servers had called out sick, so service was slow. But it was also thoughtful. These distillery workers put on the spot made a wonderful and welcoming place. The cocktail I had (a twist on a Gin Rickey) was lovely. My sandwich was delectable (the cranberry grilled cheese). After my meal I asked for some pointers on which bottles to buy for a gin/vodka drinker, and the staff obliged. I highly suggest at least trying either the house specialties and, at the very least, venturing outside you comfort zone. There is much expertise here waiting just beyond the surface. As my guide for the evening said: "Na zdravie."

This is a chill spot for an afternoon outing. It's not fancy enough for a date night and really small in the inside. The food was ok and drinks were basic.

Ellicott Distilling Co. is a nice little bar that has a small inside and also a decently-sized outdoor patio on the hills. They have a solid menu of cocktails, as well as some fantastically-named game and movie themed ones. All drinks tasted good, and we had some small appetizers that were fine. This place is worth checking out if you're in town and want to get a cocktail! They also have many events, so check out their lineup to see if anything is of interest (e.g., make your own infused vodka lesson).

Charming location. The service was mediocre and the food (sandwichs) took an hour despite being slow. The meat was deli meat and was not good. The staff was sweet. It was pretty "ok".

Ellicott distilling was a gem in Old Ellicott City. The staff are very friendly, knowledgeable about the drinks, and very helpful. The drinks were amazing but the food blew us away! We ordered an Italian sandwich and a hot reuben sandwich and both were gone in a few minutes, they were that good! This might turn into a monthly date place for me and my hubby. Highly recommend. The only reason I gave it 4 stars is because the seating area felt like it was 90 degrees inside and the steps were really steep.

I can say with distinct confidence that you won't be disappointed if you check this place out! They make all their own liquors and have some really fun and easy ones. Old fashioned heir slightly on the sweet side, so if that's not your vibe just ask for less sweet (I did this and they nailed it).The Slivovitz is a family recipe and is very fun, but packs a punch!FYI, they do have a happy hour, though I haven't been able to try it.

Stopped in just for a drink to try the place and loved all the variety of things that they make in house. We got a single malt old fashioned and a rye old fashioned. They can make many drinks that aren't listed on the menu and all you have to do is ask if they can.Service was great and very attentive. The atmosphere is fun because you walk past their distillery on the first floor to go up to the bar/food area. Love the big windows that look out onto the main street. Didn't get to experience the patio in the back since it was snowing but the bartender said it is popular when the weather is nice.

Came here with a friend for some low key vibes and had an amazing time. The only thing better than the pretzels was Sarah, the bartender. She was the absolute sweetest.

Was out and about and popped in here for a snack and a drink. Got a strawberry mojito that I couldn’t even finish because whatever rum was used tasted like it was tequila and a vegetable charcuterie plate that had three pieces of cheese on it, carrots, and cucumbers. It cost $30. Now that would have sat a little better if the service had been good. The two young workers/barbacks were rude and condescending. No one checked on me while I was there then I got looked at like I was crazy for asking for a salt and pepper shaker. I tried a couple different spots after that were much better where I got solid service, food, and drinks. Disappointing.

Great location with a gorgeous upper back patio overlooking historic Ellicott City. The biggest downside to this establishment is that somehow all of their liquors taste and smell like they are mixed with tequila.Wheelchair accessibility: Due to the tight stairwells, wheelchair accessibility is highly limited.

First time going and it was great. The two ladies working there have great energy. The drinks are amazing. The hummus was really good and I left with a bottle of bourbon. This will probably be my new hangout spot.

Fantastic spirits in a place where you could watch the street below. Service and vibe was friendly. Great happy hours, and an inexpensive menu of food and mocktails. If you order yourself a flight, lemonade makes a good chaser!Parking: There is plenty of places to put your car when you're not using it in one of EC's many free lots or parallel parking spaces.
