Don't get any better. This is the best food I've ordered from anywhere 2020...
Fast forward to 2023 the food is great but the service will keep me from going back. 2026 update they no longer accept phone orders for pickup. I'm told I must use the website. Take care

A regular meet up for my friends. Margaritas are delicious and a great selection of Mexican beers. Food and service are consistently excellent in the bar and at tables. Great daily specials and event specials.

Recommended dishes: Enchilada

Food is ok but very over priced.

Bartender Gruss would never be accused of being overly friendly either. Customer Service doesn't seem like it comes easy for him--Odd for a guy who deals with customers all day.

Don't bother talking to the manager--short dude with glasses. He just gets defensive.

Lady who served us eventually was excellent--only reason we stayed.

Overall--if you want to be treated well, spend your hard earned money elsewhere.

Don’t go!!! I’m an Ellicott city native and have been coming to La Palapa since I could drink. The past few times I’ve been it’s just been back to back bad experiences. Our waitress was nice but dropped off the check before we finished our pitcher of margarita. We were planning on ordering more while watching some World Cup games but felt like we were being pushed out. THE FOOD, is awful! It felt like it was cooked days ago and reheated. There are better tacos at food trucks on rt1. We moved to the bar to watch a game, waited for 20 minutes for service and it never came. It’s sad, I used to love going there but you won’t catch me there again.

They discriminate against service animals. Do not go in here if you have a disability. They asked what did the dog help me with which I’m not entitled to answer that.
My dog was startled by one of the waiters and they deny me service. Completely unacceptable and I even show my dogs credentials. DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE! Will definitely report them to US DOJ.

They used to let you split the check. Because we were a party of six it was a problem getting to pay for my own meal. Everyone else was supposed to be on a second card. They used to let you pay for your own meal

The restaurant is beautiful! The food was delicious! My only issue is that they advertised the stars wars margarita for May 4th and when I went there for lunch I was told it was only for later but the advertisement said “all day”. I think the bartender just didn’t feel like making it.

Food was brought out very fast. The main course was served immediately after the appetizers were served. The portions were small

This is one of our favorite restaurants and we were excited to celebrate our son and daughter in law's birthday. The food is always delicious and the service is fantastic.

La Palapa is always a great spot! The Salmon a la Veracruz was absolutely delicious—perfectly cooked and full of bright, fresh flavor. You can really tell care went into the dish.

The outdoor patio made the whole experience even better. It’s a really fun, relaxed spot to hang out, whether you’re going for a casual dinner or meeting up with friends. Great food, great atmosphere—definitely a place I’d go back to.
