We had a generally nice meal, and the food was delicious as it usually is at this restaurant. We didn't particularly like the way that we were greeted and the fact that we were initially directed to the least desirable table at the very back of the restaurant even though the restaurant was not anything close to full. When we insisted, we were given a more desirable seat, but it was clear that the person doing the seating didn't want to give us a seat at the front of the restaurant. This has never happened before and it was very unpleasant to deal with.

Service was great. My husband got the wild boar tenderloin which was excellent. It was my first time getting the crabcakes and was a little disappointed. Not as good as I had hoped. Not meaty enough. All the other food I've gotten there previously has been excellent. I'll just get something else the next time.

I enjoyed the crispy eggplant as the appetizer and the chocolate torte for dessert! However, what makes any dinner experience truly matter to me is the service and hospitality. Our server allowed me to try two different wines before deciding and was very understanding when I didn't care for a food item that was ordered; She allowed me to pick something else. Also, she gave me a little dessert with a candle for my birthday. Tasting room is unique with their food in the best way and I'm glad I got to spend the evening trying out some new flavors.

My wife and I have always enjoyed wonderful meals at The Tasting Room in frederick. The menu is imaginative and tasty. The Tasting Room has always been recognized as the prime dining experience in Frederick Maryland.

We have been here several times and the experience has been exceptional. On this occasion the service and food was not to the expectations we had. One meal seemed underdone. We got the manager but we felt she was justifying the dish rather than understanding our POV.and taking action. Not a big fan of underdone pork, even if it was meant to be that way. There could have been a better outcome. Also, when I asked about a wine, the sommelier did not come to the table but advised the waitress that they did not know about the wine - hum, you sell a wine (not cheap) and you don't know about it and can't even come to the table?? Well, it was early in the week and perhaps they did not have the A team on that night?

The Tasting Room never disappoints. The food was amazing, we ordered the PEI mussels for a starter, delicious, dinner consisted of Scallops with Brussel sprouts and Boar with savory bread pudding, both dishes amazing! And for dessert we ordered the butter cake with homemade ice cream, also wonderful. Our server Cynthia was very attentive and friendly. Thank you Tasting Room for another wonderful “Anniversary Dinner”.
The meal was excellent, the fillet mignon, potatoes au gratin, Cava wine, Caesar Salad, the bread and desert were all delicious. Our waitress and the rest of the staff did an excellent job.. Last but not least, the food was served in a timely manner, hot things were hot and the cold were cold. We will certainly be dining at the Tasting Room again.

Great food, great atmosphere, great service!! I’m really sad that they are now closed for lunch and that the salmon cakes have been taken off the menu. That was my go-to order!! :’(

Tasting Room has had better days. Tonight was not good. Crab dip was fixed so you couldn't taste the crab. The oysters were fair. The Gnocchi with lamb was nothing that I would order again. The lemonade was perfect. Very disappointing night out for dinner on 9/17/2024
