We had a generally nice meal, and the food was delicious as it usually is at this restaurant. We didn't particularly like the way that we were greeted and the fact that we were initially directed to the least desirable table at the very back of the restaurant even though the restaurant was not anything close to full. Service was great. My husband got the wild boar tenderloin which was excellent. It was my first time getting the crabcakes and was a little disappointed. Not as good as I had hoped. Not meaty enough. All the other food I've gotten there previously has been excellent. I'll just get something else the next time.
I enjoyed the crispy eggplant as the appetizer and the chocolate torte for dessert! However, what makes any dinner experience truly matter to me is the service and hospitality. Our server allowed me to try two different wines before deciding and was very understanding when I didn't care for a food item that was ordered; She allowed me to pick something else.
