Up on Market Bistro & Inn

We weren’t interested in another night at the Tasting Room, so we wanted to try Up On Market! Great staff, amazing service and the food was excellent. I would highly recommend for a great dinner try it!

Delivered in spades, an afternoon in Paris! We loved the atmosphere, music, conversation with the owner and had exceptional service from Jessica, who made us feel like we were family. The food was delicious. We will be back!

Would not eat here again. Food and drinks were tasty but the portion sizes do not justify the prices. I left there still feeling very hungry.

This place has a very lively atmosphere, beautiful silverware. The chairs near the window are incredibly uncomfortable but the other chairs look plenty comfy. The french toast is very puffy and the perfect flavor. The seafood omelette was cooked well and the seafood tasted fresh not frozen.
Desserts, the chocolate cake is not sweet at all, very dark chocolate taste. The almond cake was also very good not too sweet either.
There was a spider in my raspberry i dont mind but it would be the right thing to let others know.

i can’t believe i will give an one-star review on google map but we just had a very disturbing experience in this restaurant where the hostess rolled her eyes at us when we requested two additional bowls to share a soup.

Just returned back from France this month and was craving some French food. The lunch that my husband and I had was amazing and was just as good (maybe a little better) then what we had in France. The soups are amazing and you must try them. The entrees and desserts were delicious too. This is our new favorite restaurant and we plan to return to try everything on the menu !

I like to go here for dessert. They have fresh made berries & cream (with hand whipped cream) that is just incredible. The owner Francis is delightful. The atmosphere is charming, and the food is tasty. But if you are expecting American serving sizes or American table service, you will be disappointed. And that’s okay. This is a European style establishment, and if you can be patient and enjoy the different kind of experience, you will have a good time.

This is our regular go to place where we take all our out of town guests. Francis, the owner is kindest gentleman. We share great conversations all the time! Renee is an attentive waiter. Very pleasant and welcoming. We love our pasta here and the cocktails are one of the best in Frederick!

Brunch was delicious! My husband is very picky about eggs benedict, and these were perfect. Loved the French toast with a hint of orange. Had great oysters as well. The ambiance was perfect and relaxing for a Sunday. Will definitely go back for dinner!

We discovered Up On Market Restaurant by happy accident, and after hopping around some local businesses in the hope of finding something different from the predictable menu and same old unpleasant cafeteria restaurant feeling, we stumbled upon this gem!
Let me start with the owner. He is an attentive gentleman. I mean, a true gentleman who greets and connects with his customers.

And the food? It is impeccable French cuisine. Real white table cloth quality. You can taste the freshness of every single element in the meal. The servers are well trained, respectful and classy. A totally different experience from chain restaurants.

The ambience is hands down special. It is well designed and well thought out. Vintage and well appointed. Not cookie cutter, shake and bake, architecture. I can tell how much love the owner put into the place, having designed it himself.

We live 40 minutes away from Up On Market Restaurant, but we try to go there at least once a week. The food is incredibly delicious, and I feel like I am transported to Europe for an hour or more when we go. I can call myself an Up on Market regular and I’m very proud of it. A beautiful place with the same caliber of NYC white cloth restaurants. Oh, their cappuccinos and lattes are to die for! So yummy!! We recommend it!

Delicious “rehearsal brunch” spot on my son’s wedding weekend. Lemon pancakes made with ricotta (marzipone?) were divine. Strong coffee. Many approved (by the table) dishes including avocado toast. Affordable and LGBTQ+ friendly. Easy to make reservations online. Forgot to get photos!
