Menu says American, chicken tenders had a strong Latin spice profile. Way to spicy and in no way American.

While by no means bad, based on the reviews and hype of this place, I was expecting to be blown away. Once again, not a knock but I found it no better than any other fried chicken.

We ordered nine chicken strips, two sandwiches, a salad with 1/4 roasted chicken, and the bread pudding for delivery. The chicken strips seemed like they were overfried, they were really dark and dry, almost unedible unless doused in the bbq sauce. The same for the bread pudding, the top of it was like concrete, the only edible part was underneath it. The chicken sandwich doesn't travel well, it was quite soggy on the bottom. The 1/4 roasted chicken salad was fine.

Honestly the food was good but I do not see it as one of the best chicken sandwiches around personally, My chicken sandwich is a little dry which from a chicken breast I wouldn't expect that.

The french fries were absolutely perfect and served with a little bit of salt and pepper which was great for me cuz I always have to add pepper wherever I go.

The fries were really good. The Buffalo sandwich was tasty too. I expected a little more spice. Wanted more pickled carrots. The service is ok. The person in the front doesn't tend to you right away. The food is cooked to order which I like. The wait isn't long though. Will go back to try other food items.

Strange experience and not in a good way. Got the Isaac sandwhich, Mac and cheese, and the corn salad. Arrived, and there are no cars on the lot and employees are shooting the shit. Which I'm all for, if there's no customers do what you want. Gentleman immediately got up when I opened the door and asked how he could help.

Weird thing is, when I get home there's no corn salad, just some kid of coleslaw which was super bland. No seasoning whatsoever.
Sandwhich was decently seasoned but a bit dry.

Mac and cheese is what threw me off. Friend of mine raved about it. But it almost had a floral after taste to it. Like if someone was spraying perfume on top of it.

100% Would not recommend this place. If they can't get an order right on a slow night, then their quality control is probably non existent. Since I'm a first timer, I can't speak for the Mac and cheese. But if their spin on it is to make it floral tasting for the sake of being different, ya'll lost me. It was so overpowering that I couldn't even taste the black pepper.

Like I said, odd experience. Ended up throwing away the Mac and cheese, saved the "coleslaw" for a burger I'm making tomorrow. Lowkey, the chicken sandwiches are juicer and crispier at Sardi's.

After hearing about their famous chicken sandwich a couple times, I decided to try this place when I was nearby. I ordered the "Isaac" with a side of Mac & Cheese to-go. While waiting for my food, I used the restroom and took a peek at the seating area. The whole place was very clean and simple: concrete floors, metal stools & chairs make it stark while wood on the tables and walls warm it up. Not a space to hang out for long, but inviting enough for a quick bite with colleagues. The staff seemed glad to be there and worked efficiently to greet, cook for, and serve a steady pace of customers. My food was ready for pickup in about 5 minutes - hot, made-to-order, and wrapped in eco-friendly packaging.

I drove to a nearby park to enjoy my lunch. From an overall flavor perspective, my sandwich was tasty. The creative combo of a freshly-breaded fried chicken breast, crunchy-creamy broccoli slaw, tangy pickle slices, and a slightly sweet special sauce made for a delicious bite. I love the idea of building this on soft potato bread, but this is where Maryland's "best sandwich" fell apart for me – quite literally.

While the chicken breast was salty/crispy/juicy as you'd want, it was too plump and rounded for its own good. (It was also quite stringy on the interior which I hope was just a one-off.) The physics of the sandwich just didn't work. The thick, round chicken easily pushed out the other wet components and the tasty bread had no hope of holding it altogether. Only a couple of bites in and my sandwich was deconstructed into a sloppy mess (despite my best efforts). I would appreciate either a pounded breast or different cut of chicken to keep all the layers more stable; or at the very least, a more robust potato roll to help contain everything.

The mac & cheese was alright, but nothing special. Hot pasta with the essence of cheese and a few breadcrumbs. There were other chicken sandwiches on the menu that also sounded delicious ... each one its own unique flavor profile. When I'm back on that side of town, I might give it one more go just to try another option and hope the chicken quality is better, too.

However, I fear each of the intended sandwiches (all built on potato bread) will quickly end up in the same state of disrepair. There's nothing wrong with a few drips and morsels, but I prefer a sandwich that affords a fairly consistent balance of all ingredients in each bite. After just a few moments, I don't want to be left searching for stray parts of an exploded mess.

Who would have thought a vegetarian would feel at home and happy at a chicken restaurant? I was so pleased with the wide selection of salads and hearty oyster mushrooms that this will be my go to for lunch! Don't get me started on the french fries....perfect texture and seasoning- definitely worth it! The owner stopped by to see if we needed anything; the service was quick; the staff was friendly! Bravo Isaac's BRAVO!

Vegetarian options: Wide array of salads, roasted vegetables, mac and cheese, french fries- you can't go wrong.

Has the feel of an up scale fast food restaurant due to the ordering counter and self seating. Food tasted great and portion sizes were generous. Albeit it was a bit on the pricier side (20 bucks for sandwich and fries without even getting a drink), but you certainly get what you pay for in terms of quality. I had the buffalo chicken sandwich and it was honestly far better than a chick fil a spicy chicken sandwich but cost about 5 bucks more than you'd pay at chick fil a and didnt come with a drink. If it was slightly cheaper this would be a 5 star no brainer option for me.
