Peter Chang Gaithersburg Reviews
Really love the vibe at this restaurant. The service and food is excellent. I came with my husband and son for lunch and we got Egg Drop Soup, Lemoncello Walnut Shrimp, Vegetable Lo Mein, Basil Eggplant, and Hot Tea. Everything was really good. Our waitress was very nice. Definitely recommend. We also came on a rainy day so it felt cozy.
The decor is nice. Service is okay. Food is good depending on the dish. Mongolian Beef, soup dumpling, Eggplant dish were pretty good. However, hot n sour soup was on the sweet side and lacked substance. I’ve been here for lunch several times. However, I probably won’t be back again no matter how good the food may be. Peter Chang Gaithersburg offers a cozy and inviting atmosphere, making it a great spot for both casual dining and brunch with friends. The decor is appealing, and while service can vary, it is generally pleasant and efficient. Diners appreciate the diverse menu, which includes standout dishes such as Egg Drop Soup, Lemoncello Walnut Shrimp, Mongolian Beef, and the highly praised Peking Duck, known for its crispy skin and tender meat.
The restaurant is particularly popular for its bottomless brunch, where guests enjoy a delightful spread on tapas plates. However, some dishes may not meet expectations, as noted with the hot and sour soup being on the sweet side and a recent change to the eggplant recipe that disappointed a returning customer. Despite occasional inconsistencies, many reviews highlight the overall quality of the food and the enjoyable dining experience, making Peter Chang a go-to for those seeking authentic flavors in Maryland. The small size of the restaurant contributes to a relaxed dining environment, especially during quieter hours.
