“I spotted this restaurant while traveling south on Route 3 headed for an SCA event. I found it on the way back. It is located at the intersection of Route 3 and Route 424 across Route 3 from the Giant Food Store in the Crofton Princess Shopping Center. Currently, the first entrance to the shopping center is blocked by construction equipment. The Kodo is located on the level facing Route 3. I ordered a couple of sushi rolls at the sushi bar. The food was very good. The rolls had the proper amount of rice, in other words, not mostly rice and a little fish, quite the opposite. Very good. The iced tea was actually oriental tea, not orange pekoe. The restaurant is setup primarily for Habachi but does have a nice sushi bar with a couple of big screen TVs, muted. Service was good and efficient.“

“Kid-friendliness: This is my daughter's favorite place we drive an hour to eat here for every birthday or special occasion! Clean, friendly atmosphere and the best Chinese and hibachi around! My husband and children also love the sushi! He's eaten sushi all over the world and has never had anything but complements for this place!“

“Went fairly late on a Saturday night. We were the only ones in the restaurant. Loved the decor. Menu was huge, particularly the sushi section, but they had lots of Chinese and Thai options, too. I got fried tofu and the Tokyo roll (tuna, yellowtail, and avocado), boyfriend got crab rangoon and Pad Thai, we both found everything delicious. Service was very fast and attentive, although that may have been because we were the only ones there. They also had a lot of sake varieties.“

“I love this hibachi restaurant! It has always been a favorite of ours. We haven't gone in a couple of years and decided to meet family here. We were surprised that they did not take reservations, only "call ahead seating" which they said they would try to help us.w We got seated and the waitress was very slow to get to us, including the family who was across from us that had been there for a while before we came. We also learned that they now only let you choose between soup and salad, rather than getting both which is kind of disasapointing for the price. When the chef came, we learned that the waitress wrote the orders down wrong which made it confusing for him. He ended up forgetting an entire order of fried rice for our table, but we let it go. The chicken was very unseasoned and bland. However everything else was very seasoned and delicious. The chef was excellent and very engaging. They also do not do the saki unless you ask now.“

“It’s just the sushi counter at Whole Foods, but the quality was GREAT!
I got the sushi/tuna avocado combo roll. It was $13 for a basically 2 rolls, and dollar per dollar it was much better than a lot of other sushi I’ve tried in Annapolis. Very fresh fish served cold. Easy to get right, but so many get it wrong. These guys did great.

The dining area is also very quiet and pleasant; great atmosphere if you want to work on a laptop or read a book. Try this sushi!“

“This was a family birthday lunch and our first time there. The entire meal was very good and some of us took food home. The atmosphere was very relaxed. Parking: The store is located in the Bowie Town Center so there is plenty of parking in the rear (parking lot) with limited spaces in the front of the stores.“

“Order two rolls of sushi here and it was more than enough to fill you up! They also gave us an order of fried imitation crab for free. Your meal comes with miso soup in at the beginning of your meal and a small slice of cheesecake at the end of your meal. Their menu is huge so I’m sure you’ll find a roll of sushi that you like!“

“Love this place! Haven't eaten here for years ever since I moved to another state but I'm glad we came here for dim sum when I was in the area. We arrived 15 minutes before opening time on 11am on a Sunday morning and were almost immediately seated. There were already some people eating. Immediately after being seated, the food carts started coming by with a large variety of steaming hot dishes. Food was steaming hot and delicious! The waiter was very attentive, stopping by often to serve us hot tea, iced water, drop off the soy sauce and chili oil when requested, and pick up the empty dishes. The food carts also came by frequently in case we wanted to get more dishes. By 11:10am there was a line of people waiting for a free table. We finished our meal in record time by 11:30. Excellent service! Will come by again when I'm in the area.

Had a severe craving for dim sum after coming back from Europe. Arrived 11:30am on Sunday and was seated pretty quickly. Ordered our favorites: beef stew, siumai, sharkfin, stuffed bean curd, sticky rice, etc. The server for our area was really quick with tea, waters, chili oil, picking up empty steamer baskets and dishes, bringing us any extra food to take home, extra take home containers, and getting our bill at the end. If the envious people at home hadn't put in last minute take home orders, we would have been in and out within 30 minutes.“

“The whole setting is a Vibe!!!The lighting and the mood is very comfortable. Servers are super friendly ,courteous and attentive.They recommended some things off the menu that were very tasty. The drinks are not water down and very ,very good.Happy Hour is Fire and they have them at different times. The food is well prepared to perfection I had a meduim rare steak and it was outstanding. “This place is fantastic! The food is great and the selection for the all you can eat is amazing. It isn't a fancy dining experience but it is cozy. The staff are good they clear dishes as you go and have given extra order sheets as you go. The food is made fresh to order and not just sitting for you to grab which is fantastic.“

My son had the TripleSushi Deluxe (soup, salad, and sushi were delicious). The rest of us ordered Paradise, Rock and Roll, Yama, and the Goldfish Rolls. All were fresh and tasted awesome. They also have sake, plum wine, and Japanese sodas. Yama Annapolis is a truly Japanese restaurant in food as well as culturally. A must dine while you’re in Annapolis.“
