“Such an awesome place! The beer on tap is such a great selection, the owner and beertenders are all fun and nice. The regulars are all fun and welcoming. There's also a store side where you can buy beer and wine, all great selections. Highly recommend them for your next alcohol purchase on the go or to just go and chill.“

“This place is excellent for the price point and generous serving sizes. Tonight a group of my friends unexpectedly arrived at this restaurant with a party of 10+ people and Carmen was so accommodating for us. We really appreciate her taking us in and providing us with a great send off dinner for some of our friends leaving the state. The food came out hot, the drinks were good, and overall it was an experience Im glad we got to have. If you're looking for a casual sit down restaurant in Germantown, MD then this is the spot!

What I Ordered:

The Pollo Saltado: The portion sizes were good on the chicken, potatoes, and veggies but the only criticism I have is that the rice could have had a bit more flavor.

The Maragarita de la Casa: Great margarita with a good kick to it. I would have had another, but unfortunately had to drive home.

“I love this place! They have a bunch of local and craft beers on tap and one of the best selections of beers for retail in the area. If there is a beer you are looking for but can’t find, as long as the county sticks it, Ashish (the fabulous, friendly owner) will order it. The store is very clean and bright, I never have trouble finding parking, and the prices are on par with other stores. In the wine side of things, there is a good variety and prices seem a little lower than other area stores.“

“They have great burgers, fries, nachos, chicken wings, pizza, potato skins, fried shrimp and all types of bar food. Great neighborhood joint. Large bar with plenty of TVs showing whatever sports games happen to be playing. The prices are reasonable. The only thing they should work on is a little bit bigger portion size. For example if you order potato skins they don’t bring 4. You get 3. The nachos should be a little bit bigger. The burgers are delicious! The habaneros beet sauce is delicious“

“Great atmoshere, high-end stylish dining room, comfortable seating. The salmon dish was delicious and a large portion. The spinach rice side dish was so delicious! The Ravini Politiko, coconut cake was the best I ever ate! The Thalissina, seafood pasta had plenty of seafood in it and delicious. Even the cappaccino was delicious, very smooth, no bitterness and taste great with dessert! The server, Baris, was attentive, friendly and did a great job taking care of us. Great place to eat, homemade dishes and desserts! Highly recommend it. I will be back!“

“My favorite place to dine at Rio. This place is always packed, so pack some patience if you have to wait. I enjoy their house beers- especially the House IPA, House Lager and House Golden Pilsner. For appetizers, can’t go wrong with their poke nachos, probably their signature dish. Other favorites are their wings and Jumbo pretzels.

The menu is huge so there is something for everyone. My favorites are the Lobster Garlic Noodles, Stacked Turkey Club, Cobb salads and cheesesteak.

Their happy hour deals are pretty good. They do have a waitlist you can join on their app. Hard to believe this used to be a Romano’s Macaroni Grill.“

“Grape Escape is a unique treasure – they have a fantastic beer/wine selection, they’re a cool local hangout/bar, and they’re an intimate live music venue. The beers are perfectly cold, and the staff warm and helpful. I enjoyed Grape Escape under previous ownership and have found the new owners to be equally as gracious and completely committed to maintaining and growing its coolness. “Takeout has its limitations. Tonight we ordered burgers and a pizza. They forgot the pizza and by the time it arrived the burgers were stone cold and the fries a soggy pile of grease. I want to support DFH but if it happens again, I'll wait until indoor dining resumes.“
