The Big Dipper is Hagerstown famous. This spot stays busy, even in the winter. They feature Hersheys ice cream. The last time I went I ordered a banana split with soft serve ice cream. It was amazing! Ive also enjoyed the strawberry shortcake sundae. If you love ice cream, the Big Dipper will not disappoint. Thanks Big Dipper! I'll be back soon.
This is a nice ice cream place. The day we were there it was strictly outside seating. Orders taken at the window. They serve Hershey brand ice cream as well as dog serve. A couple of standout features... the day we were there they were offering raspberry soft serve which was delicious. They also offer waffle cones, sugar cones and waffle cups as well at the standard cake cones. Note that the inside seating has been closed since COVID, with orders taken at walk-up windows. There is no drive-thru, limited parking, and only four outdoor tables. A Hagerstown classic, The Big Dipper continues to be a favorite for families, offering fast, efficient service and delicious treats.
