“This was our first time coming in and we really enjoyed our food. We got chicken and waffles, a classic crepe, and an egg and cheese crepe.The chicken was especially good!Staff was also super nice. There's a little coffee bar off to the side with sugar and different flavored creamers. I asked if they had just regular milk and they were able to give me some which was much appreciated.Definitely will be back.“

This place has been a staple in Mt Vernon for at least 15 yrs. I have never had a bad food experience here in all the years I've been patronizing this establishment. “Rise fulfilled a catering order for my office this week. Everyone enjoyed the food so much. When I picked it up the food was hot, service was super friendly, and they threw in some butters and jams for the biscuits. Overall a great experience. Would definitely use for catering again!“

“This is one of the only things I missed about going into the office was coming here and getting a sausage egg and cheese on wheat toast with jelly and butter. This deli does what its needs to do its in a convenient location, its quick and the food is good. Cant ask for anything else“

“Found this randomly searching for breakfast places around me and I was pleasantly surprised. Loved the food! Had a blood Mary which was sweet from the bacon garnish, but not bad. Ordered the hacienda hash which was so tasty. Hubby got biscuit with turkey gravy and egg whites plus potatoes. He ate it all, he said it was fab. The portions are good size. Great bases menu plus a seasonal menu. The set up of the restaurant could be better, too much of a jam at front and no where to wait really. Loved our server. Excellent experience. Must try!“

If anyone knows me, I’m a Breakfast girl- And I stick to the basics— Bacon, Eggs, a bread (Waffle or Pancakes) and Grits if Available*… let me tell you how I seen this spot when it first came to town but ai can honestly admit I was turned off by the Tacky sign and name* and dark appearance of the interior of the restaurant so I put off going in - but bayyyyyyyybeeee the basics of the food here is POPPIN’!!!!…. Everything was made to perfection- Bacon cooked evenly, eggs cooked & done still soft with the taste of cheese, the Waffle Crisp of the edges// soft on the inside…. AND THE GRITS!!!!! ?‍??‍??‍? doesn’t matter if U like SUGAR or SALT* or CHEESE* on top… the texture and neutral taste of them with nothing on top is AMAZING ???… this is a must go to— with BlueMoon & FirstWatch… I’m just sorry I didn’t go earlier ???— the only things needed to improve would be the aesthetics — like maybe a white ceiling & better made tables - The rest is A+ ???“

“First time I visited it in a long time, but wanted a good breakfast, including pancakes. Friends suggested it and I wasn't disappointed. My waitress was excellent, friendly, and the 2 scrambled eggs, 2 big pancakes, 2 crisp bacon strips, order of hash browns, plus small pitcher of coffee were excellent. It was a little noisey, but after all, it is a family restaurant and that's to be expected. I highly recommend it, especially for a good breakfast at a fair price.“

Employee also offered to make us a unique off-menu sandwich of his own creation and it was delicious. Waffle grilled cheese was also very satisfying. Definitely recommend and will be back soon.“
