“In the bustling world of hospitality, exceptional service is often the differentiating factor that transforms a good dining experience into an unforgettable one. Recently, my best friend and I had the pleasure of encountering such exceptional service at Jam Eateries , thanks to the remarkable efforts of our waitress, Mariah!Mariah, greeted us with a warm smile and genuine enthusiasm that set the tone for the entire brunch. Her attentiveness was unparalleled; she effortlessly anticipated our needs, making us feel not just welcomed, but truly cared for. What truly set Mariah apart, however, was her unwavering dedication to going above and beyond. Not only did she flawlessly execute her duties as a waitress, she also consistently exceeded expectations by anticipating our needs before we even realized them ourselves. Her attention to detail ensured that every aspect of our dining experience was seamless and enjoyable. Amplifying our visit from ordinary to extraordinary.Whether it was accommodating our substitutions to our meal preferences, promptly attending to our requests, or simply sharing a friendly conversation, Mariah, demonstrated a level of professionalism and genuine hospitality that is truly commendable. In a world where exceptional service can sometimes feel like a rarity, Mariah stands out as a shining example of excellence. Her passion for her craft, coupled with her genuine care for her guests, leaves an indelible impression that will keep us coming back to Jams.To Mariah: Thank you for making our dining experience truly unforgettable. Your dedication and warmth are a testament to the incredible impact that exceptional service can have. You are truly deserving of recognition and praise, and we are grateful for the privilege of being served by you.“

“This was our first time coming in and we really enjoyed our food. We got chicken and waffles, a classic crepe, and an egg and cheese crepe. The chicken was especially good!Staff was also super nice. There's a little coffee bar off to the side with sugar and different flavored creamers. I asked if they had just regular milk and they were able to give me some which was much appreciated.Definitely will be back.“

“This place is so cool! The menu is crazy! Mostly breakfast items. Lots of twists on French toast and pancakes, like the crab dip French toast. Interesting decor. WARNING: This place is very small.UPDATE: We may have gone there two days in a row. This time, we got the Sweet Baby Jesus, the Pina Colada French Toast, and biscuits and gravy. Mmmmmm!!!“

“A hidden Jem, you could miss this spot if you didn't know it was there. Dont come here expecting Ruth Chris type scene but expect excellent made food. This place has been a staple in Mt Vernon for at least 15 yrs. I have never had a bad food experience here in all the years I've been patronizing this establishment. The food is especially good after a night out drinking. If you want a good fairly priced meal, definitely try this spot out!Wheelchair accessibility: Located in the side entrance to the Belvedere, at street level.“

“Simply Marie’s is simply THE BEST. These are the best pancakes I’ve EVER had. We didn’t leave a bite left on the plate. The owner was very kind/friendly. The inside is clean but small (takeout if you don’t get there early) and the family story is so sweet. We will definitely be back!“

“I lucked out. I meant only to “grab a cup of coffee” this morning casually on the way to Baltimore’s Penn Station to head home to nyc and lucky me for heading here. Good coffee, yes, yummy grits with cheese (my daughter had the tomato soup and grilled cheese) , relaxed homey elevated atmosphere with aninstallation of African textiles, patterns, color, and more. Also the adjoining gallery of MICA senior work was invigorating, inspiring.Thank you! …. Hope to be back !“

“Rise fulfilled a catering order for my office this week. Everyone enjoyed the food so much. When I picked it up the food was hot, service was super friendly, and they threw in some butters and jams for the biscuits. Overall a great experience. Would definitely use for catering again!“

“Found this randomly searching for breakfast places around me and I was pleasantly surprised. Loved the food! Had a blood Mary which was sweet from the bacon garnish, but not bad. Ordered the hacienda hash which was so tasty. Hubby got biscuit with turkey gravy and egg whites plus potatoes. He ate it all, he said it was fab. The portions are good size. Great bases menu plus a seasonal menu. The set up of the restaurant could be better, too much of a jam at front and no where to wait really. Loved our server. Excellent experience. Must try!“

“Gooooood Day my fat people…. If anyone knows me, I’m a Breakfast girl- And I stick to the basics— Bacon, Eggs, a bread (Waffle or Pancakes) and Grits if Available*… let me tell you how I seen this spot when it first came to town but ai can honestly admit I was turned off by the Tacky sign and name* and dark appearance of the interior of the restaurant so I put off going in - but bayyyyyyyybeeee the basics of the food here is POPPIN’!!!!…. Everything was made to perfection- Bacon cooked evenly, eggs cooked & done still soft with the taste of cheese, the Waffle Crisp of the edges// soft on the inside…. AND THE GRITS!!!!! ?????? doesn’t matter if U like SUGAR or SALT* or CHEESE* on top… the texture and neutral taste of them with nothing on top is AMAZING ???… this is a must go to— with BlueMoon & FirstWatch… I’m just sorry I didn’t go earlier ???— the only things needed to improve would be the aesthetics — like maybe a white ceiling & better made tables - The rest is A+ ???“

“My recent visit to First Watch in Pikesville was nothing short of exceptional, transforming a regular morning into a memorable dining experience. From the moment we stepped in, the efficiency of the staff was evident as we were promptly seated, setting a positive tone for our visit. Our waitress, Q, was the epitome of warmth and professionalism, greeting us with a smile that made us feel genuinely welcomed. For starters, I couldn’t resist ordering a side of the Million Dollar Bacon, which lived up to its name in every savory bite. My main course, the Blackberry Lemon Cream French Toast, was a delightful symphony of flavors that danced on my palate. Accompanying my meal was the Honey Caramel Crunch iced coffee cold foam drink, a masterpiece of sweet and salty notes topped with luscious cream and toffee crumbles. It was love at first sip!My friend opted for the Belgian Waffle and Market Hash with Scrambled Eggs, a hearty meal that challenged even his appetite. He, too, was enticed by the allure of the Honey Caramel Crunch iced coffee, deciding to join me in savoring this exquisite beverage, and we both were in agreement—it was an absolute highlight.Q, our waitress, was the cherry on top of an already splendid visit. Her attentive and friendly demeanor ensured that our dining experience was seamless and enjoyable. She made us feel valued and taken care of, a rare quality that truly sets apart an eating establishment. While the location is snug and parking can be a bit of an endeavor, the incredible food, cozy atmosphere, and stellar staff make it worth the effort. The charm of this place is undeniable, fostering a welcoming environment that beckons you to return. We wholeheartedly recommend First Watch in Pikesville to anyone looking for a dining experience that combines delectable food, exceptional service, and a warm ambiance. It’s a testament to how a meal can be transformed into an experience. We will definitely be making our way back to this gem of a location!“

“The location is tightly situated when it comes to parking, but the food and service make up for any inconvenience. The greeter/register attendants were gracious. Our server was so friendly and jovial that our interaction was quite memorable. Unfortunately, I'm horrible with names, so I can't give him the most deserving shout-out. I am a picky eater and hate all grenery that is usually garnishing your meal. Our server must have relayed super specific instructions for the chef because everything I don't like was in little tin cups to the side. I truly enjoyed my meal thanks to him. The restaurant quickly became crowded, but it was truly understandable as to why. Keep up the great job, First Watch Team. We thank you!!!“

“First time I visited it in a long time, but wanted a good breakfast, including pancakes. Friends suggested it and I wasn't disappointed. My waitress was excellent, friendly, and the 2 scrambled eggs, 2 big pancakes, 2 crisp bacon strips, order of hash browns, plus small pitcher of coffee were excellent. It was a little noisey, but after all, it is a family restaurant and that's to be expected. I highly recommend it, especially for a good breakfast at a fair price.“
“Excellent customer service. Arrived just after a very large group and employee apologized several times for needing to wait a little. Employee also offered to make us a unique off-menu sandwich of his own creation and it was delicious. Waffle grilled cheese was also very satisfying. Definitely recommend and will be back soon.“
