“Talk about a hidden gem and don't judge a book by its cover. I'm down in the area at least a few times a month for work and have driven past this place many times. I was craving fried chicken today and when I googled fried chicken in this area, this came up.

Great service, great chicken, definitely will be a repeat customer. Don't let the generic esthetics like the old looking exterior or unoriginal designed sign fool you. This place is the real deal. I can't wait to come back.“

The food tastes great, you are usually in and out very quickly, and they have fantastic memories and will greet you by name. A hint of sweetness in the horseradish sauce on the Gandolfini helped to tame the sinus-clearing spice and melded well with the robust beef piled high on a soft hoagie roll with just enough chew to keep your chompers satisfied. A healthy helping of hots on the Italian keeps this hefty helping of quality cold cuts perky, and the vinaigrette keeps it bright. “The ladies that run this Deli/Convenience store are so sweet. If you're a regular and are a little short they let you bring it back. It's really hands down one of the cleanest Delis around here. Their grill and kitchen area is sooo clean. No bugs or signs of rodents. Definitely should give em a try and help out a small business!

“Wen in the area, I always get their ham and turkey club sandwich. The lettuce and tomato is fresh as well as the luncheon meat. I am very picky regarding lunch meat. Just the right amount of mayo. I recommend this deli. They are always pleasant and fast.“

Jay did a really good job balancing fillings and sauces so my sandwich was not dry or soggy. There are a lot of drink and chip options and the vibe is chill. It does take a minute for them to make the sandwiches so plan on sticking around for a few or plan on walking the block. It’s a local business and it tastes better than subway so if you’re debating, just walk the couple blocks, you won’t be disappointed.“

“I’m from New York. I lived near a deli that made the absolute best egg sandwiches. Needless to say I was a big fan. I went to Roby’s and the gentleman at the front desk was very polite. I ordered a bacon egg and cheese sandwich and lo and behold the taste was excellent just like my New York Deli!
The sandwich was a bit small and only had one egg, but the taste is what matters and next time, which there will be, I’ll order two eggs.

“Definitely not on my list of Go-2s for healthy food. But I do enjoy eating there sometimes. The service is so-so but the food is good. Understand, that I don't like going to a place that if you say you don't want my food a certain way, and then they put too much butter; for example. Then, they have an attitude about fixing your food🤨😏.. other than that I recommended. As far the atmosphere goes.. I don't feel like 99% of the restaurants out there, even diners or full-blown restaurants (if they are serving African Americans)

“I have never been in this restaurant but just looked it up on line after ordering here like 4x thru Grub Hub. It's giving Pete's Grill type of food - vibes. It's not Pete's Grill from the looks of it BUT the food I've ordered the last 4x in 2 weeks has been hot and delicious. The Pancakes are perfection - 3 pancakes for 5 or6 bucks is very decent. The grits come buttered and seasoned, the hash browns are grilled and browned. I've ordered from Pete's Grill and Ms Shirley's. Ms Shirley's can be expensive and Pete's gets busy. Golden Star Carry out is my new favorite spot for breakfast.“

“This place has been around a long time. They serve breakfast & lunch only so don't F around. They have a decent parking lot that accommodates 20 cars and you'll see construction vehicles blocking things up at times. That's how good the food is and like I said they're a simple restaurant nothing fancy.

“The food is actually delicious. Downside is when they first open, 1 person is taking orders (phone and in person), preparing the food, and cashing people out. There will be a line waiting, while they are on the grill, and they will actually answer the phone and take new orders before addressing persons in the line and then return back to the grill. They need more employees or something.“
