“Food was really good and reasonable. Server was friendly but didn't check back often (refills!), but we could have flagged someone down because it's a small, cozy place.Awesome portions. Menu could be more helpful. Didn't know mashed potatoes didn't come with gravy and cinnamon and sugar on sweet potato fries was a complete surprise (they were tasty, tho)Highly recommend.“

“I recently discovered The Retriever Bar & The Decoy Bottle Shop. The owner, Neyah, is down-to-earth and knows his stuff when it comes to high quality spirits. I was impressed by their extensive collection of highly sought after bottles such as Fortaleza (blanco, reposado, and añejo), not to mention the allocated bourbons they had available for tasting with options for both full and half pours. The food was the cherry on top! I also got to walk about with a bottle of G4 Repo and XA! Will definitely be returning here. “Enjoyed a wonderful date night for my husband's birthday. The food was good, but I was definitely disappointed in the Prime Rib Special. The cut was smaller than expected, the cook on it improperly done, definitely NOT rare!!!! I had such high expectations but was definitely disappointed. It was also 1/2 price wine bottle night. However, there was no way the bottle was worth the original $40/bottle!!!!“

“I have used both take out and dine in. I have never had a problem with a meal, all excellent. This is a friendly, family oriented restaurant at which I have never had poor service. I could think all day and not come up with one negative thing to say. They support the community and I hope to visit this business even more this summer.“

“We popped in on a Saturday morning for a round of delicious breakfast sandwiches piled high with crispy bacon, arugula, fluffy eggs, and a zesty dijonnaise. One dining companion also ordered the blueberry lemonade, which was freshly made and fantastic. Highly recommend.Stam's is a super-cute, retro lunch counter and ice cream shoppe that has been beautifully restored. Unlike what we read in other reviews, we received good service from our order taker too.“

“We had a great meal here. My wife's filet was one of the best we've experienced, cooked exactly as requested. Staff was attentive and friendly. Owner was all over the place. He was in the kitchen checking for quality of prepared dishes and times to prepare. He came out and sat with us. This man seriously has a passion for his Restaurant. When he was done chatting with us he went downstairs to make pasta. Although a drive from Chesapeake City, this place is well worth it.“
